Britney Spears scores her first top 10 debut as “Circus” starts at No. 3.

The song, which she performed live on ABC’s “Good Morning America” the day her No. 1 album of the same name hit retail, also opens at No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs with 212,000 downloads. With her former No. 1 single “Womanizer” at No. 10 on the Hot 100, Spears places two tracks simultaneously in that chart’s top 10 for the first time in her career.

I’m not sure if people are comprehending just how massive this is.

One single performance on “Good Morning America” has propelled the sales of 212,000 copies of the song…Digitally.

It’s not even a proper physical single yet, and it’s already #3 on the Billboard charts. To compare, “Gimme More” peaked at #3 last year! UNBELIEVABLE.

Not that it’s undeserved! “Circus” is by far one of the best, if not the greatest, singles of the year. I’m still not over the song by any means.
