befe6243b07ed34ceceb7e18687db336 Daily B: Staying Strong
Britney Spears has filed multiple restraining orders against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib according to TMZ, yet another step in the road to a gradual recovery.

If you’re looking for more news, you can stop here. I’m taking a moment to make something very clear.

Jordan of BreatheHeavy is an absolute joke.

I don’t normally wish to comment on Britney’s personal life, but considering the boy behind one of Britney’s most popular websites has been mouthing off once more against Jamie Spears, I thought I’d take a moment to briefly e-slap the shit out of him.

Any fan who sincerely believes that Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib were in any way beneficial to Britney’s mental and physical health are out of their fucking mind.

You see, back in the day, Sam Lutfi and Alli Sims were in direct contact with Jordan. They occasionally gave him exclusives about her whereabouts and plans…They even allowed him to come up to Britney’s loft while in town in Vegas! How cute. As a result of the star treatment, the experience brought the two tailcoat riders into Jordan’s good graces.

Fast forward to January of last year when Britney’s family successfully orchestrated a takeover attempt in order to remove her from Sam Lutfi’s control. As Britney was finally brought back into her own family’s hands, the impressionable little sheep from BreatheHeavy began to lash out against the family’s last ditch effort to save their daughter’s LIFE, suggesting their actions were somehow motivated by greed.

Greed. Something that Sam Lutfi, failed “producer”-turned-manager, and Alli Sims, wannabe debut popstar, would certainly know nothing about, right?

Though the paparazzi pictures, quotes, and general persona of Britney Spears over the past three years speak volumes enough about Lutfi’s “caretaking” skills, court papers help prove what a special brand of evil this man truly was. From hiding Britney’s dogs until she was forced to cry for them back, to attempting (and failing) to negotiate ridiculous features with Rolling Stone for millions of dollars, Lutfi was one day away from becoming the Howard Stern to Anna Nicole Smith.

Please, please, please…Do not be fooled by Jordan’s lunacy. Britney is safer now than she ever was over the past three years.

Sure, the conservatorship seems pretty rough. She’s got a curfew, she doesn’t get to drive her car as much as she would like, and her actions are strictly monitored by a team of professionals.

But why don’t you tell me what’s worse: A free-fall back into the hands of a man that once ground up pills as a form of sedating the pop star into submission, or a gradual build up back into a state of normalcy?

The conservatorship will end in time, and Britney Spears will be Britney’s own to keep once more…Just give it some time.

I pray that Jordan will be brought down in time for his sheer sheepish ignorance.

UPDATE:

In an epic moment of epic-ness, my prayer was timed quite right. Jared of JustJared has exposed Jordan of BreatheHeavy to be just as gullible of a tart as we had previously suspected.

Click here to read Jared’s account of the situation (you’ll need to register at BMK), in which he purposely wrote up a fake set list for Britney’s tour as well as “insider information” as a carpenter for the show to submit to Jordan (who did post the information as an “inside source”, which was later denied by Perez.)

Jordan’s forum, Exhale, is now exploding with outrage. Click to read his response to the situation, which is now (according to him) a legal matter.

Trust me, you’ll want to soon…Contests are in store in the very near future.

In celebration, a random remix is in order.

Please enjoy the gloom-and-doom, stomping rendition of Yelle‘s “Ce Jeu” by Hoshina! It’s a bit unconventional, though a welcome contrast to Yelle’s usual bubblelectro.

Bon D’accord.

681bf2c36124d52fd80b3169d331d3dc Janet Jackson: Throb
I’ve done a whole lot of “new” lately…Let’s take it back.

Last night, I put in Miss Jackson‘s Janet. album, poured myself a tall glass of red wine, and got down with myself while cleaning up the apartment. Though I don’t remember much past the first few moments of mopping, I do know that my home is now sparkling clean.

Though I wish I knew where the mop went.

By the mid-90′s, following in the footsteps of the rest of our favorite ’80′s pop titans, Miss Janet decided it was finally time to shed that sugary sweet skin and start moving into the realm of pure, unadulterated smut (Thank God.)

Released in 1994 and produced by Janet’s golden hit-makers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, “Throb” was only officially released in The Netherlands. “Throb” managed to climb all the way to #66 on the Hot 100 Airplay Charts and #2 on the Hot Dance Club Play Charts in the US.

“Throb” is a ’90′s purist’s house track, featuring classic dance rhythms and beat breaks. The track swells and deflates in an aching, circular motion–not unlike a musical orgasm.

Primarily a horn-heavy affair, the song is a much grittier experience than the slinky seduction of the similarly timed “Erotica” from Madonna (though equally obscene as Grace Jones‘ 1993 #1 dancefloor smash, “Sex Drive”!) Surprisingly however, the track has aged brilliantly, and listening to it now is still an overly enjoyable experience.

Beware: Sex moans ahead.

Kids, this ain’t your mommy’s “Let’s Wait Awhile.”

Here we have global superstar BoA taking a sub-average song and bringing it to the level of (using PopJustice terminology) “really quite good.”

How does she do it?

Step 1: Walk down dark streets at night.
Step 2: Break into dance with complete strangers.
Step 3: Gyrate against a brick wall.

Repeat.

It’s a bit early Janet as well, isn’t it?

BRILLIANT.

Let’s talk about phonography, shall we?

Hmmm? Tired of the track already? Then how about a little….rrrremix?

From the makers of the “Circus” remix that rapidly rose up the Hype charts weeks ago, BitchSLAPHappy is back with a new remix of Britney‘s brilliant bonus track, “Phonography.”

It’s Hi-NRG, it’s blip-glitchy…Basically, it’s hot goods. Plus, the mix brings the song somewhat closer in style to a souped up version of Kylie Minogue‘s “Speakerphone,” which is always a welcome comparison in my world.

Okay, so maybe that has everything to do with the repetition of the word “speakerphone.” Whatever, it’s closer now.

Pump it up!

d9a390023d4babb421adc736766259ad Introducing...Two Door Cinema Club!
Here we have Alex, Kev, and Sam, the three young lads that comprise the Two Door Cinema Club.

The boys enjoy banging about and making music together.

“Something Good Can Work,” their debut single in the UK, is the result of such things.

They look a bit like the Jonas Brothers, if the Jonas Brothers were English and a bit of a trendier affair.

They sound a bit like Jason Mraz, if Jason Mraz were English and more of a indie-rockier affair.

Mix it altogether, and you’ve got yourself a pleasant concoction. As you can see above, the boys have already begun to get started on that.

Well done, boys.

Groove Armada is back!

Blending tingling electronica flourishes and blaring horns from yesteryear, the boys of the Armada deliver yet another smoldering dancefloor stormer with their latest track, “Go.” With a sassy, swanky sophistication on par with that of a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack, Groove Armada’s latest track marks a bold step away from their usual massive dancehall mega-tracks. Instead, with the aid of vocals from the fabulous Ms. Saint Saviour from The RGB’s, “Go” takes its time to slowly unwind and sizzle out through the speakers.

Oh, and this ain’t your grandma’s recording. Well actually, it kind of is. See…”Go” was recorded live, vocals and all–A brilliant touch that remains nearly undetectable in the track’s seamless production.

The single is a part of the new Bacardi program, B-Live Share, an innovative new music sharing campaign designed to encourage sharing music between others! A novel idea, really. The idea is that the more you share the track with friends, the sooner you’ll receive the next three Groove Armada tracks from their EP. I’ll be sure to review the compilation in full upon collecting all four tracks!

The full EP is as follows:

1. Go
2. Pull Up (Crank It Up)
3. Drop the Tough
4. El Padrino

Once you sign up, you’re good to go with “Go.” So whatcha waiting for?
