Most Of What I Wanted

First, the good news: Kelly Clarkson‘s new album, All I Ever Wanted (not Masquerade, as widely rumoured across the interwebs), will be released on March 17th.

And now for something completely off-putting.

Honestly? What is this, a promo shot for the revival of Solid Gold? The cover is clearly a product of a post-Hard Candy world–One in which the creative zest of a perfectly acceptable photoshoot can be dashed to bits with the assistance of a single, lazy graphic designer.

You just know that the full photoshoot will leak three months down the line to feature Clarkson standing in front of a majestic landscape, a leather daddy bar, or something alternatively appealing to the eye. If this is anything to go by for the Covers of ’09, we’re in for more of the same from our divas.

To make up for this, please click here to hear the 30-second sample of “My Life Would Suck Without You.”

You’ll find that the track is:
(A) The perfect guilt-ridden companion piece to the original Clarkson stomper, “Since U Been Gone,” and
(B) Probably a real club stormer once the mixes hit the airwaves, meaning that
(C) Clarkson’s back, bitches.

Bring on the single release.
