I think it's all right. She's gotten more graceful with the idiosyncratic lyrics since Exodus. I dislike "Taking My Money Back" and the Pussycat Dolls-sounding bits of "Dirty Desire." I quite like "Automatic Part II" and "On And On," but I don't think I love any of it the way I love most of her Japanese singles.

I'm impressed that "FYI" follows the structure of the original "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" so closely (one of my favorite songs of all time).

Man, though, she wasn't kidding when she said it would be really pop. A lot of even the really good stuff is way cheesy, and I don't think there's a single track I would play in front of my straight friends.

To my surprise, it is great, actually amazing!
“On and On” is hot. “FYI” is also great and clever with a modern twist. “Apple and Cinnamon” is also great.
“Taking my money back” is great. Is it a song for Madoff? Just kidding.
I am also surprised that Utada can create so many different styles and she can sing with a different vocal range and skill (Sometimes, her voice is like a man). She sings “On and On” and “Me Muero” in a completely different way (skill?)
I loved “Exodus”, but hey, it would be boring if she did the same thing. I’ll give her A+.

I've just listened for the first time–

Ultimately, there's nothing on this album that can remotely be considered single worthy. This project will shortly die after the release of the album. While I'm enjoying some of the tracks ("Off And On," "Dirty Desire," and "Automatic Part II"), a majority of the lyricism and overly nostalgic production is just plain embarrassing (especially "Apple & Cinnamon").

I love the album. It grows on you a bit. But then again, I'm a whore for anything Utada does. Apple & Cinnamon is probably my favorite, and then On & On (which should be the next single). Dirty Desire isn't as bad as the preview made it seem. I think it's catchy now.

However, I have to say that Poppin' is the worst song I've ever heard her make.

It's surprisingly not that bad, is it? Had to overcome the major obstacle that is being R&B haha
