Cascada: Evacuate The Dancefloor

Cascada‘s new single is called “Evacuate the Dancefloor.”

Let me just be the first one to say–this is hands down the best “Just Dance” cover I’ve ever heard. SPOT. ON.

Major ROFLCOPTERS for the rapper breakdown scene at 2:15 into the video where the cinematography is quite literally the same as in GAGa‘s video.

There’s so much wrong going on here. I mean…evacuate the dancefloor? You’re suggesting that we actually step off of the floor? Isn’t that a bit counterproductive?

I don’t even know where to begin, so I’ll just end it: “Stop, this beat is killing me.”

Done and done.

That’s the best review of this shite (i can’t even call it music) I’ve read!
They were once known for only covering and killing decent songs now they just copy another act!
They are trying to make the big bird who fronts them into the German version of Lady GaGa – they’ve failed and now we have Lady Chav Chav
This is so bad they should rename the group Crapcada!!!!

I have always disliked Cascada; I don’t understand their appeal – they do not make good electronic music and they do not make good pop. They are awful, and this is a ripoff of Lady Caca. -Michael

  • Electroqueer

hahaha. Well, Cascada has never been all that original in the past either – I’m not surprised by this in the slightest. I actually commend you Bradley for taking the time to listen to this.

  • Brooke

To be honest, I’d rather have an album of Lady GaGa copycats than another album of Cascada’s normal stuff.

  • newplanet

Yep, it’s clearly a Lady GaGa rip-off, for sure. But it’s also clearly the best thing Cascada have ever done. Ever ever ever.

are you lot taking the piss? get a grip! just because it says “dance” it sounds like Lady Gaga? seriously, stop being a bunch of fags. The song is actually pretty damn good, and its actually something good to listen to rather than lady gag continually. Good song!

sorry to be different but i actually really like this song, i think its her best and don’t think its anything like lady gaga what your lots problems, welldone :) !

Normally I can’t abide Cascada but this is so unlike them that it’s actually good. I don’t care that it sounds like Lady GaGa either.

Cascada strikes again with a killer tune, and naturally all the jealous bastards jump on the cascada hate wagon. Get a grip, and throw your poison elsewhere you vapid snakes. This song rocks and I’m proud of cascada!

Man…Cascada FAILED this time……TBH….i’ve liked the previous songs of the electronic dance genre cos ima into that shize :3….anyways WTF is this shiz…..i mean seriously….CASCADA….go bak!

The first time I heard this song, I didn’t really care much for it. When I heard it a few more times, I really liked it. The reviewer must already hate Cascada cos that review was disgraceful. I’m not a major Cascada fan either but don’t let your hate get in the way of reviews. BTW, this song doesn’t even sound like Just Dance.

I have to admit this is not the best cascada track i have ever heard! to say its a rip off lady ga ga track WTF??!! id rather listen to a true euro dance artist instead of a fake from the states!!!

  • Ivan Y.

I googled “evacuate the dance floor lady gaga” and get in here… The song really alike with Just Dance, I admit it… that’s why I googled it…

But hey, Cascada still rocks, I love it :D

  • Simon cowell

8 beat track with vocals! With a unknown stepping in with some lyrics midway!
Sounds like pretty much every chart song going at the moment Lol!

  • Brad

    …my God.

Well, if Simon Cowell has spoken on the matter, it must be true.

  • Anonymous

umm.. it was produced by Red One who produced Lady Gaga's album…so yea.

Honestly, anyone who thinks this is a copy of "Let's Dance" must need a hearing aid. Both Cascada and Lady Gaga have their own sound. Both are great club artists. As far as the song, this is the best one in Cascada's repertoire. Grow up youngsters….

I agree with the last comment….this is the best Cascada ever. Besides, if you are paying attention you would note that all of Cascada's hit songs have choruses that get a crowd singing and jumping…..they always raise the energy level to the nth degree. Very few artists have producers that know what they are doing when it comes to this technique. Bravo Cascada….

its alot different from her other songs
    her other songs had more reason but the basic layout of the song was the same;
verse, chorus, extremely long piece of music, verse, chorus, another long bit of music, chorus
    i don't really think it's a cover of Just Dance :/
because like the beat and lyrics are alot different

  • Anonymous

Ooow the producer worked with both of them Big deal!!!!
both artists have there own style
and guess what! number 1 in the uk charts this past week!
    must be shit lol!
    Keep it going cascada

Ok, Lady GaGa ripoff or not.. Yeah it is very very similar, but for Cascada I think this is really awesome. It sounds way better than GaGa, "Just Dance" sounds dry and slow compared to this. Maybe Cascada is changing a bit? There's a couple more interesting tunes on the "Evacuate the Dancefloor" album ("Fever", "Breathless", "Draw the Line").

I stick to liking individual songs (or hate them for that matter), not a whole group. Evacuate the Dancefloor stays on my playlist for a while.

  • Anonymous

it does NOT! sound like lady gaga 'just dance'
this is no doubt cascadas best song yet!
both cascada and lady gaga are good but thier music doesnt sound like each others.
i actually cant believe some off you's idiots think it sounds like lady gaga. pffft, hardly!

  • Anonymous

The rapper kinda sounds like eminem…. dont'cha think??????? It's probably just another stupid rap-wannabe trying to sound like him… anyways the songs not that bad either!!!!!!!

  • Vitor

Sorry, but I can't find where "Just dance" is similar to "Evacuate the dance floor". They have completely different rhythm. "Just dance" is slower than "Evacuate the dancefloor" and I can't figure out any similarity in lyrics..

  • Brad

For starters, you might want to look at the title of both songs.

  • lolllz

the beat is a lil like just dance imo.
but i agree this is clearly the best cascada has ever produced.
not bad as a rip-off other songs. but ‘beat again’ by JLS is seriously the worst rip-off of kardinal offishall’s ‘dangerous’. sucky song by JLS.

  • CrystalNiqquh

Some ppl are so meann,, ; what is the point of sayiin somethiing is bad,, its not goiin to fix anything the only thing its goiin to do is make enverything negative ;; im so srry for being optomistic ;]

  • Lasseron

This song is unbearable terrible. The lyrics makes absolutely sense. Short statements that has no substance in it. The beat is ripoff of just dance. though alot more tame and dull. This songs is actually the first song that gave me an urge to hate it actively, like writing this…

  • Lasseron

    makes no sense, no sense.

  • Lasseron

And i hate the way the lead singer acts like she is hot, she clearly should have been wearing sweat suits, kind a like missy elliot.

This is the only cascada song i’ve heard, but i listened to this and just dance back to back to back, and despite the similarities, i like the cascada song better. Gaga has a sound to her voice that doesn’t seem to fit with the song type, and while it sounds ok, i think cascada does it better. i’d give this song a 8.5/10, compared to an 8/10 on just dance.

  • kait

ok if ya dont like dont say nothin bout it … its that simple i listened to it for 30 sec.. and its sounds catchy i kinda like it i never heard of them but they seem ok even if they are a cover group not everybody is a writer if u have a problem w/ it just keep it to yo self self u just makin it worse ….. that girl can sing tho….thumbs up!
