Forever is Over, but Not Forgotten.

Saturdays

On this breezy Friday afternoon, I find myself pondering The Saturdays.

I have, on many occasions, expressed my hesitance to embrace ‘the Satz.’ From what I’ve seen, I’m not impressed: They’re not nearly as chic as the Aloud, soulful as the Sugababes, or exuberant as the almighty Spice.

Above all however is the music factor, and that’s where the Satz have just scored.

Giving a quick look-over at my iPod’s most played tracks, it appears that I do–at least musically speaking–enjoy me some Saturdays. “Forever is Over” has weaseled its way into my daily playlist rather quickly and unexpectedly, and shows no real sign of stopping. Even if that bridge is a bit tragic, the delicious chorus is simply worth it time and time again.

So Satz…today, we salute you fine ladies of five. May this new single/sound/direction push you to produce an incredible follow-up album later this year, only to guide yourselves into the loving bosoms of a million and one adoring fans/gays. Oh, and the A-list of Radio One.
