Kylie Minogue Wants to Chiggy Wiggy with You. Does That Even Slightly Turn You On?
Thanks to We Are Pop Slags for tracking down the clip, we’ve got a sneak peek at Kylie Minogue’s turn as a chanteuse in the upcoming Bollywood flick, Blue.
Now, I’m not going to be too hard on Mizz Minogue for this one–after all, this a song created for the strange world of Bollywood, a place where stars can gleefully dance about on-screen to songs about getting “chiggy wiggy with you” and then face a warrant for their arrest after kissing in public.
But really, it’s all just a little too weird. Her performance is–at best–a briefly awkward, B-grade ‘urban’ reinterpretation of Moulin Rouge, and the dog-panting dance moves are simply tragic. And that’s not even the start of it–I mean, the back-up dancers! At least this proves that Kylie’s always got her homo squadron n tow at all times…even in India.
She does look good, though…sort of like a 2009 update on “In Your Eyes.”
If you don’t think this song is up to snuff, just remember…there can always be worse out there.
