This is Livvi Franc–and she’s a Being In Total Control of Herself.
That’s the meaning behind “Now I’m That Bitch,” which should really be titled “Now I’m That B.I.T.C.H.” The concept is sort of like Mariah Carey‘s upcoming album track, “H.A.T.E.U.”, which means “Having Another Typical Emotional Upset,” except the title isn’t nearly as drama and the song is probably much less of a shit show.
And now for the better-than-good, more-than-slightly Ciara-inspired video, which literally features the EXACT SAME choreography and styling that I imagined for Brit Brit‘s “Phonography” had it been properly released/performed/acknowledged. (Instead of multi-colored, bungee cord material however, it would be done with phone cords. Is that not the most fucking clever thing you’ve ever even imagined? I digress.) This video is the fierceness, and the last minute alone is worth the price of admission.
Alright, then: We’ve proved that Livvi Franc is actually quite capable of being something more than a one-time urban dancefloor diva. With any luck, she’ll become a Being with A Never-ending Array of No-Nonsense Artistry (or B.A.N.A.N.A. for short.)
You’ll also want to head to her MySpace to check out mixes by some other rather adept professionals, including Jason Nevins and Sam Sparro(!).
This here remix, completely free and available for your download pleasure, is a bit more chilly and sparkling than the original. Quite nice, so take as you will!
DL: Livvi Franc – Now I’m That Bitch (Serafin Remix)
The single, which is already out in the US, will be available for pre-order in the UK starting on Monday, and in digital outlets on September 6.

Someone needs to buy this for me, stat–just look at the 3-CD tracklisting.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor? Booty Luv? Fedde la Grand? Oh yes, please.
Hed Kandi’s The Mix: Summer 2009 will be released on August 24.

You know, starting with the gays and all for Instinct Magazine.
What? OH! Oh right, almost forgot…
FLAWLESS BITCH.

“Songs Remind Me of You” has had an interesting journey.
We first heard about it in 2006, when PopJustice! began raving about some new song off of Annie‘s sophomore effort, a Richard X-produced track called “Songs Remind Me of You.” Like a moth to a flame (burned by the fire), my interest was peaked by the song’s brilliant name and drool-worthy track description. After two years of delays and setbacks, we finally got to hear the song in full, glorious quality in 2008 when Don’t Stop almost kept chugging along to release. That is, until that fateful day in which the plug was pulled.
Almost one year since “Songs” was (almost) first released, the track is now actually being released (really this time!) as the single behind Annie’s American release of Don’t Stop (really this–well, maybe not. You never know.) Sure, it’s not quite being promoted properly, and there aren’t any remixes or B-sides, but what more could you ask for? She is, at long last, acknowledging that this song–still perfect after nearly a year’s delay–exists!
If you haven’t already heard it yet, you absolutely must–think lush disco, breathy vocals, and intergalactic swarms of electronica. You know, everything the Little Boots album should have been but wasn’t. It was also my ringtone for the summer of 2008. Are you not convinced yet?
It’s been a long time coming, but “Songs Remind Me of You” has finally touched ground. A-fucking-men.

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending/being dragged into a screening of the film, Adam.
Even though I’d originally spent ten minutes trying to convince my lady friend to opt for District 9, I’m glad I ended up catching this one instead. It was incredibly cute; a quirky, romantic film about a woman who falls in love with her neighbor Adam, who has Asperger’s syndrome. I’ve since deemed it the Autistic Garden State–light, off-beat, yet touching nonetheless.
Along with the movie, the soundtrack of the film proved to be an equally strong piece, featuring the Weepies, the Alexandria Quartet, and Miranda Lee Richards. However, it was one song in particular, played during one of the movie’s more poignant scenes, that had me digging into my pocket for my phone and ducking under the seat to set a calendar reminder to find the song with the lyrics, “When I find you, I’ll find me.”
I found it almost immediately after getting back home: It was Joshua Radin‘s “When You Find Me,” featuring Azure Ray member Maria Taylor. A dreamy, soft-spoken builder with nearly whispered vocals that I absolutely adore. It was a find made all the better upon realizing it was a Joshua Radin song–the very same artist chosen to sing at Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s wedding! Yes friends, yet another of the thousands of reasons Ellen and I are forever linked in spirit.
“When You Find Me” is perhaps unlike that of which you’d usually find around here MuuMuse, but I suppose that’s the beauty of running my own blog. Please tell me what you think, and as always, please support the artist!

I want to know at what point during this taping Larry Rudolph and Jamie Spears looked at each other and said, “Yeah! No, this will be great for her image.”
Points for looking pretty, if not fidgety and uncomfortable. Err, um…it’s Britney, bitch?
And now for a pleasant memory of a confident and sassy Miss Britney Spears. Two major idols on one stage! Swoon…

As I outlined a few days ago, DJ Tiesto is teaming up with a smorgasbord of talent from across all genres for his upcoming album later this year. Among one of the most exciting musical mergers? That with MuuMuse’s favorite indie duo, Tegan & Sara.
Though his album, Kaleidoscope isn’t due out until October 20, Stereogum managed to nab the most awesome honors of debuting “Feel It In My Bones,” the Tegan & Sara collabo track.
Head over to Stereogum NOW to hear the track streaming in full, read the accompanying article, and watch the girls’ cute intro video to the track. If this isn’t the definition of worlds colliding, I don’t know what is. Cool, concentrated synths and strums from the masterful DJ and cutting lyricism from the girls–as I so elegantly proclaimed on , it’s bucking frilliant…as if you thought it’d be anything other than.
And now that you’ve listened to the stream…
