After 19 years, Sade has returned with a comeback single called “Soldier of Love,” the band’s first release in nearly ten years.

Generally, it’s damn near perfection.

But as the lead single from an album with a cover like this, could the group ever go wrong in the first place? Didn’t think so.

Sade makes the best soul music in the world. <3

    HAWT!!! Lovin’ it

Wow. The beat sounds so modern and her voice still sounds so deep and sultry.

Best thing is that both her vocals + the music blends so well together, it doesn’t sound like she is trying so hard to “get with the times” at all. It just all comes together naturally here.

And damn the lyrics are not so obvious. It has this air of mystery to it that each and every person who listens to it interprets it all in their own way.

    It’s a banger
Sade makes soul music. I like the drums and the rhythms.
and she stuck with the love formula, there is not a person on this earth who can’t relate to either being in love, aspiring for love, Falling out of love or sticking through the trials and tribulations of love.

Sade sings from a place we all know, but only a few of us can touch and convey it through music, which makes her legendary.

the new single is the BOMB and will problably become my favourite SADE single since No Ordinary Love & Kiss of Life. The beat is so profound, it leaves an indelible mark in one’s mind. I have been playing it on perpetual shuffle on my IPOD since it came out.

I haven’t stop listening to the new single. Its timely for me since I am coming out-ending a 12 years relationship. But I am still “A Solider of Love.” I still believe in it and so excited, not bitter about finding it again.

Very much like this song–and I will not ruin it by buying the mp3–will wait for the album to reach the stores (whichever are still standing and actually selling music) and buy the CD. I have listened to her first two albums for decades now.

BTW, the mp3 comment is a reflection on continuing to hold the actual CDs when I listen the Sade. Not a stupid comment on how music is now being purchased or the future of how we all enjoy to listen and buy our music. Cheers.
