And here we have the official video for “When Love Takes Over,” the song I’ve declared to be the official Summer ’09 Anthem since the end of March.
As you can see, the video (much like the song) delivers, using lots of bright colors and gorgeous, sun-shining visuals to create that essential Ibiza-esque sensation. Not that this clip had to be so involved–in fact, it was a pleasant surprise to see that there was a video to begin with!
My only criticism would be not enough screen time for that ridiculously fierce dress on K. Rowland.
Yeah-ee-yeah.
Thanks to Muuser RJ for alerting me pronto!

This is Daisy Coburn, otherwise known as Daisy Dares You.
Daisy Dares You is 15 years of age. (!!?!)
Daisy Dares You creates “alt-pop” music that sounds to be about on par with her contemporaries, including the golden pop sensibility of Little Boots, the sarcastically sweet confections of Kate Nash, and the enunciation skills of Lily Allen.
Her list of influences is fairly impeccable (Karen O begins the list, including Natasha Kahn, Lykke Li, Debbie Harry, and The White Stripes, amongst hundreds of others), which doesn’t always mean something but seems to mean something in this case.
I find her to be both refreshing and nice.
Here are two songs to enjoy from her. You may notice that Daisy Dares You sings a song called “Daisy Dares You,” which is helpful not only because (A) it is her name but (B) because she goes on to spell it out letter by letter in the chorus. So really, if you haven’t gotten the name down by that point, you’d probably be best to move on from here.

Sounds like talent in the works to me.

No, the accent’s not back…tonight is Britney‘s opening show of The Circus: Starring Britney Spears at the O2 Arena in London!
If you’re going, have fun tonight! AND MAKE SURE YOU TWEET ME ABOUT THE SONG CHANGES AS SOON AS YOU HEAR THEM.
According to various Tweeters, there were plenty of costume changes, remixes of “Radar,” “I’m A Slave 4 U,” and “Toxic,” and a platform change on “Slave”…but no new songs. Perhaps the add will come later on in the European leg?

EDIT 2: OMGOMGOMG. FIERCEFABULOUSNFLAWLESS.

Do Something
Piece of Me
Ooh Ooh Baby
Radar
I’m a Slave 4 U
Womanizer

There comes a time in every person’s life when they must confess their love for one or more people.
Peaches‘ new video for “Lose You” is astonishingly close to how I’ve always handled that type of situation.
But really–I’m so thoroughly giddy about this video! It’s pretty much the “Lose You” performance on the I Feel Cream tour, except more choreographed, zoomed in, and hilarious. And you’ve got to love that ending!
I’m sorry, you’re going to have to watch now.
“Lose You” will be released as a single on July 4 from XL Recordings. Click below to hear more from Peaches.![]()
This is a track that first popped up on my radar (on my ray-duh) back last year, but only now is it finally seeing what we in the industry like to refer to as a ‘proper release.’
Dan Black‘s “Symphonies” is a blend of the now instantly recognizable drum beat from RiRi‘s “Umbrella” and a cover of sorts of Notorious B.I.G.‘s “Hypnotize.”
The result is something altogether pleasing–catchy, melodic, and slightly angelic all in the same go around.
Oh, and the video is superb, traveling the highs and lows of contemporary film advertisements and title scenes. Shame Amanda Lepore sort of just did this a month ago with a smaller budget and a lot more lipstick.

Dan Black’s album, ((Un)), will be released on July 13.
