BT suddenly hires1500 BT Premieres New Single, Suddenly

And all of a sudden, it’s here.

“Suddenly” is the debut single off of Brian Transeau’s (better known as BT) first studio album in four years, These Hopeful Machines.

The new song is a hurried, explosive force; a hi-energy concoction of glittering electronica and filthy industrial noise, all tied together with a few guitar strings and a strap of studded leather. The more I listen, the more anthemic it becomes.

The album will be released on February 2. According to the press release, Machines will be “a double-disc opus that carries listeners through 2 hours of sweeping orchestral arrangements, pulsating electronic beats, heartfelt vocal melodies and even simple acoustic guitar.”

Thanks to BT, please enjoy the full stream of “Suddenly” below. What do you think?

And you’ve got me rather excited now….Not actually heard anything of BT before – but I’m looking forward to the album!

Actually, Suddenly is the second single off the new record. The first is called “Every Other Way” and features Jes (from Motorcycle and Taxi Girl) on vocals. The album version is good, but the Armin Van Buuren remix is fantastic! There are a couple other remixes of it too. It’s worth checking out!

    Hmm…

Interestingly, the label seems to be treating “Suddenly” as the official debut single, as with the press release that I got in the mail. I wonder if “Every Other Way” wasn’t just a buzz release?

    Exquisite.

Interesting about the press release. I actually got remixes for Rose of Jericho first (about 6 months ago) and I figured that was the buzz release. Then again, at this point, they’re probably doing anything they can to promote a record, especially from someone like BT who has been out of the scene for a little while and is putting out a very conceptual album. None the less, it’s all great stuff!!

Great song (and a fantastic album!), but the Radio-Edit is too short. The album-version is far better!
