I know, I know…I’m a mess, and you probably stopped caring about three posts ago. Whatever. I’m still on the prowl for answers!

In light of more than a few coincidences regarding the viral videos that have been e-mailed to me over the past few weeks, I am now back to believing that this may in fact be the work of camp Christina. Why? Let us explore.

I. The Sony BMG upload.

Promo Album Iamamiwhoami: Is the Dirrty Girl Truly the One Under All that Mud?

This picture has been uploaded on Sony BMG’s official site in Germany. Lest we forget, it looks JUST LIKE HER.

II. The photo campaign.

AlixMalka4 Iamamiwhoami: Is the Dirrty Girl Truly the One Under All that Mud?

According to Ma’ariv, an Israeli newspaper, the incredibly talented Alix Malka was responsible for the cover art of Christina’s upcoming album. If this were true, the videos would fall in line with the artist’s vision: Malka’s fashion photographs are similarly rich with high quality detail and flowing, vibrant color, as well as a fixation on the natural world. While this one’s a bit of a stretch, there’s no way to dismiss this as a possibility either.

III. The video names.

This was the one that sealed the deal for me: If you add up all of the numbers before a decimal and attach a letter to its corresponding number (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.) you’ll notice that each video has a distinct message:

Prelude 699130082.451322 = (38.17) = (CH.AG) = CH. AG.
9.1.13.669321018 = I. A. M. CH.
9.20.19.13.5.723378 = I.T.S.M.E.C.

More than just a coincidence? I’m starting to think so, yes.

Thank you very much to Muuser Ben, who pointed out all three of these rather intriguing finds–and made me a possible believer in the process.

The mystery viral video artist iamamiwhoami has returned with a new video entitled “9.20.19.13.5.723378.”

My guess has been revised: I now believe the artist in question is The Golden Filter after having received this e-mail from David of A Crowd Electric:

brad,

i seriously think it might be this band. similar sound, asthetic, cooing blonde female lead singer, and they’ve released teasers for the previous EP.

I’m definitely on board with that guess. What do you think?

From the NRJ Awards in France on January 23, a performance of “Russian Roulette” from the impossibly chic Rihanna. The singer would later go on to win the International Female Artist of the Year that night. Congratulations, Riri!

On Friday night, Madonna performed “Like a Prayer” for the Hope for Haiti televised benefit. I’m not going to speak ill of a performance meant exclusively for charity, but her “new” face has left me feeling distraught. Please Madonna: Age gracefully, both in your career and your own skin. The world will love you that much more for it!

On the same show, Christina Aguilera performed the Linda Perry-penned “Lift Me Up” off of her upcoming album, Bionic. Avoiding the sometimes stomach-churning vocal acrobatics she’s sometimes akin to, Christina offers up an intense, emotional show of talent. A wonderful performance.

Finally, Justin Timberlake‘s performance of “Hallelujah” for Hope for Haiti, featuring Matt Morris. I don’t even care for Justin anymore, but this is stunning. No ego, no Timbaland. In case you forgot why he’s in the industry in the first place, watch this now.

Also from the NRJ Awards comes David Guetta‘s performance of “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland in person (and sounding as strong as ever), as well as “Sexy Bitch.” The entire performance is complimented/made strange by the synchronized dancing of the audience, which is fairly precious to watch. Once the giant robot on stilts come wandering out amid glitter-ball gals and the background burlesque dancers, I’m completely lost. But I wish I were there at the same time.

bodyroxluciana Club Sounds: Bodyrox and Lucianas Shut Your Mouth

“Shut Your Mouth” is the newly released single from Bodyrox and Luciana, the DJ and vocal team behind one of my favorite club tracks of 2007, “What Planet U On?”

Featuring the DJ duo’s classic winding synthesizers, the latest single from Bodyrox goes even harder than their usual, including bolder beats and snippier lyrics (“Hands up, shoot you down / You better shut your mouth”).

Need more convincing? Here’s a preview:

If this is how the clubs are going to sound in 2010, it’s going to be a very good year for dance musique.

Move over, Little Boots–there’s a new space-age disco diva in town.

Gabriella Cilmi, the 18-year old Aussie songstress responsible for last year’s “Sweet About Me” has returned to Earth. Well, sort of.

“On A Mission” is a hectic, intergalactic neo-disco rave, where Cilmi’s raspy vocals (a kind of crossbreed between Anastacia, the NoisettesShingai Shoniwa and Amy Winehouse) are tacked onto a glitzy, ’80′s synthesized beat. Add a spritz of Little Boots’ geometric fixation and a dash of low budget ’50′s sci-fi camp, and there you have it: Cilmi 2.0.

The young singer’s sophomore album Ten is due out on March 22, with production credits from the likes of Xenomania, Greg Kurstin, and Dallas Austin. Odds of brilliance? You do the math.

goldfrapprocketsleeve2 Now Boarding: Goldfrapps New Single, Rocket

Goldfrapp‘s upcoming single, “Rocket,” has landed.

The song has already begun taking off on iTunes Australia, which you can now hear right here (or download directly if you’re a lucky Aussie man/lady/man-lady!)

Bright, poppy ’80′s synthesizers a la Cut Copy (and this Sheena Easton song, courtesy of MuuMuse reader David’s ears!), a strong “ooh-oh-oh!” chorus–it sounds like Goldfrapp’s taking us on a trip to the bright side of Supernature on Head First. I’m excited to take the ride!

Special thanks to PopJustice for the single cover and iTunes Aussie tip-off!

The full video for the Sugababes‘ third single off of their upcoming album Sweet 7 has now arrived. There are so many questions to be asked, but perhaps above all: How’d you get your ponytail like that, Jade?

Even more importantly: Does anyone notice the fact that there are LARGE SCALE VERSIONS of the objects they’re singing about in the background, including diamonds and shoes?

amelletie Sugababes: Wear My Kiss (Video Premiere)

Here we have an example: a large CGI tie sitting in the background as Amelle sings “I’m like the tie around your neck.” OR DID I JUST META-BLOW YOUR FUCKING MIND?

“Wear My Kiss” will be released on February 22, just two weeks before the long-awaited release of the ‘Babes seventh studio album, Sweet 7.
