Well, it’s just all fun and games for Sia these days, now isn’t it?!

Above is the video premiere for the singer’s joyous new Greg Kurstin-produced single, “Clap Your Hands.” Not only is it hilariously campy, colorful and muppet-tastic, but it’s incredibly crafted as well. I can only imagine how long this took to put together!

Which one is your favorite character? This is mine, hands down:

normal 001 Nicki Minaj Talks to Details Magazine, Continues to be Perfect

I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime.

Nicki Minaj, on being an openly bisexual rapper in the hip-hop scene.

3991746e8febcdaea68f7a91f6bd6ad8 Party Jam: The Knocks Premiere Debut Single, Blackout

Having previously worked with Ellie Goulding, Marina & The Diamonds, Sky Ferreira, the White Tie Affair, and their latest protegees, Samuel and Alex Winston, NYC production duo The Knocks have just debuted their first single: “Blackout,” a hands-in-the-air party track.

Sung by one half of the duo (Mr. Jpatt), the song is nothing short of a rave happy celebration, combining shouty vocals with an indie-dance groove a la Passion Pit and The Black Kids.

DL: The Knocks – Blackout

Seriously, is there anything named “Blackout” that isn’t a smashing success?

The single will be released on iTunes on May 4, featuring remixes by Chiddy Bang, Samuel, Fear Of Tigers, Yes Giantess, and more. You can expect one of those remixes to premiere excluusively on MuuMuse in the coming weeks.

Well, here it is–the Kylie.com announcement!

Kylie Minogue‘s eleventh studio album, Aphrodite, will be released on July 5. The first single from the album will be released on June 28 entitled “All the Lovers,” and you can (I assume) hear a small snippet of in the video above.

I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING THIS.

Also, the cover art is BLOWING. MY. FUCKING. MIND. The album could suck for all I care (which it won’t), and I’d still buy it in every physical format possible. Please release this on vinyl, Kylie!

AHHHHHH!!!

ARCHANDROID COVER 1024x1024 Outta This World: The Cover for Janelle Monaes Upcoming Album, The ArchAndroid

Behold: One of the greater–if not the best–album covers of 2010 thus far.

And now, a nerdy-yet-awesome description of the crown featured in the artwork above:

The ArchAndroid Crown: Designed by Zoman Ignatius, the half-elf, half-human mystic, reportedly 500 years ago. According to legend, the crown has several magic properties, as well as innovative technologies that can be employed only by The ArchAndroid. Zoman was a consummate inventor, artist and sculptor, a cross between Tesla and Da Vinci, and as such, he designed the crown to be a work of beauty that would embody the very spirit of Metropolis. According to legend, the crown features prominent Metropolis buildings and towers that will light up radiantly when the one and only true ArchAndroid wears the crown. According to the Daily Horos, this opulent headdress was stolen from the vaults in the Black House, reportedly by 1954, in October of 2715. Several members of 1954 were hunted down and executed for this crime. But the crown was never found. Many claim it has been secreted away to the Wonderground. There is also word that in the year 2010, several 1954 operatives have crafted a replica of this historic headdress to be worn by Janelle Monáe in anticipation for her album The ArchAndroid…no word on whether or not this replica has magic properties… The Living Cyktionary, 9th Edition, 2719

You can see the crown in action in the ArchAndroid trailer here.

But really…it’s kind of perfect.

Stillness at the spe1C007E e1263667609519 Illuminating Miss Grace Jones: Interview with...Chris Levine!

If you were fortunate enough to catch Grace Jones on the incredible Hurricane Tour over the past two years, you might have caught a performance of “Love is the Drug,” where a single green laser is refracted into dozens of tiny beams of light atop Jones’ head.

Chris Levine is the artist responsible for that installation, as well as several other lighting designs for Jones’ stage work. Having just shot a series of holographic photographs with the superstar, as well as the video for her upcoming single “Love You to Life,” the renowned 3D artist is now preparing to showcase his work with Grace Jones in “Stillness at the Speed of Light,” an exhibition at The Vinyl Factory in Soho, London that begins on April 30.

As he prepares for his showing, Levine was kind enough to take the time to answer some of my questions regarding his collaborative work with Grace Jones, both on stage and in his own media. Please read on to see the full interview!

ba456ef274 Robyn: Dancing on My Own (Single Review)

The heartbreak isn’t over.

Robyn‘s first single from her upcoming EP, Body Talk Part 1, finds the singer as solemn as ever, dancing alone and mourning the love she’s lost.

“Dancing on My Own” is essentially the sequel to her first collaboration with Kleerup, “With Every Heartbeat,” featuring a moody, plodding synthesized beat and a ceaseless burst of rapid-fire, machine gun electronica.

It’s quintessentially Kleerupian (EDIT: or not, as this track was produced by Patrik Berger) and undeniably Robyn at her most vulnerable, all tied together and topped with a big bow of Swede pop perfection.

This is sad disco at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.
