Kate Havnevik Delivers “Mouth 2 Mouth” (Single Review)
Of all the Norwegian electronica chanteuses in the world, Kate Havnevik is probably my favorite. I first discovered Havnevik back in 2006 with her debut record Melankton, a dreamy collection of electronica-infused tunes produced by ...

No words.
At long last, here comes the video premiere for “All The Lovers,” Kylie Minogue‘s first single off of her upcoming studio album, Aphrodite.
In case (like me) you were feeling a bit of a drought following the release of Britney‘s “Radar,” fear not:
THE HORSE PORN IN A MUSIC VIDEO TREND LIVES ON.
Just try to keep it in your pants from the 2:30 mark up until the 2:45 mark. I defy you. Look at those muscles! I got you on my neighdar, that’s for damn sure.
More importantly, the cat is officially out of the bag: Yes, I’m in the video. Kylie’s camp was nice enough to fly me out all expenses paid to be featured alongside the reigning disco diva for a few sweet moments.
…What? You didn’t see me? Err, fine. Here’s a screen cap if you don’t believe me:
I still can’t believe it. My video debut–with Kylie! Insane.
But seriously: Is this literally the gayest release thus far this year? Maybe so, yes. (That dove scene really drives the point home.)
But is it brilliant? By all means, yes. An incredible concept and a gorgeous set of visuals–100% MuuMuse approved.
(Plus, it still reminds me of “Slow” gone vertical. Amazing.)

MuuMuse Approved Tracks for the Week of May 23, 2010
5. Christina Aguilera – Lift Me Up
While the Sia ballads on the album are the most masterful, this Linda Perry-penned torch track is a ballad for the ages (that may well go unappreciated).
4. Uffie – Pop The Glock
It’s not a new song by any means, but hearing it all over again after the album leak has reminded me why the chick Ke$ha jacked her swagga from is so, so much more fun. I’m always ready to Uff!
3. Christina Aguilera – Vanity
This song may feature more cocky boasts than my irony meter can handle (“Let us not forget who owns the throne”), but I’ll be damned if this deluded exercise in self-celebration isn’t deliciously sassy. If the shoe fits…wear it, bitch.
2. Benny Benassi – Spaceship (ft. Kelis, Apl.De.Ap, and Jean-Baptiste)
Benassi never fails, as with this “Rocket In The Sky”-esque stomping delight meant to set the dance floor ablaze. Deeply wish the Black Eyed Peas rap nonsense was out of the picture, though.
1. Alicia Keys – Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)
Alicia coos across an absolutely luscious, slinky groove about getting it on. I die every time. So happy to hear about the baby in waiting…Congratulations!
It’s finally time to announce the winner of the Photographs: Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth Tour contest!
First off, I’d like to thank all of the fans who contributed their incredible entries for the contest. There were way more than just three brilliant photographs submitted, which is why I’ve included a slide-show at the bottom of the post featuring dozens of photos from the contest.
Really, amazing job everyone. I can’t wait to see the show stateside.
Without further ado, the winning photographs:
Congratulations to Shelly S. and Jasmin W., who will be receiving signed Rihanna photos.
And the grand prize winner…
Patsy T., who will be receiving the signed pair of Nokia WH-600 Headphones:
Thank you again to everyone for contributing!
Check out this slide-show to see many more of the amazing contest entries. Viva la Riri!
Oh my God, I can’t believe this exists.
Here now is the official video for Lil Wayne‘s “Knockout,” featuring Nicki Minaj.
In case my Muusers didn’t know, I lahhhv this song (because of Nicki, obviously). It also happens to be a song that I’ve spent one or ten nights recording myself lip-synching along to alone in my room. The nights can get lonely for me.
In case you aren’t already familiar with this song, fast forward to the two minute mark to experience the mind-blowing moment that is Minaj’s verse. Awwww, fuck it! My absolute favorite.
The video is a fairly low-budget effort (most likely due to its drop-everything-and-go video shoot done back in February when Wayne was still preparing to be sent off to jail), but it still features Nicki Minaj. And when you’ve got Nicki Minaj in a video, you don’t need anything else. Well, aside from a stash of colorful wigs.
NOW ROLL OUT THE ALBUM, ALREADY. GOD.
The new video for Rihanna‘s international single, “Te Amo,” is now here (sort of–it leaked), and it is just as fantastic as what we’ve already seen.
With this latest clip, RiRi takes a turn as the provocateur with a same-sex interest, grinding and cooing and flailing and winding around in sexy positions, though never for a moment relieving her face of a look that screams “Look, but don’t touch.” (That is the point of the song, after all.)
Visually, it’s a bit like “Radar” meets “Disturbia”; sans horse porn, plus a polar bear cap.
Honestly, this video is so unbelievably sexy. The crackling fire during the introduction, that outdoor scene in the dress crawling around in the grass…I can’t even handle it right now. Hot flashes all over the place.
Between this video and “Rockstar 101″ and “Hard” and the entire promotional campaign for Rated R, this has truly been the greatest blossoming before our eyes of a radio-friendly pop princess into a full blown superstar.
I’ve said this before: While at first I had always thought her to be nothing more than a voice of the moment, this campaign has truly made rethink her position in pop entirely as a legend in the making.
I am just gushing with pride. Rihanna is surging up the rankings as one of my favorite artists, period.
I LOVE YOU, RIRI.
