According to Mollie King‘s last few tweets, The Saturdays seem to know something we don’t (yet):
You couldn’t be more right!!! RT @PerezHilton: @kylieminogue It’s be great to have a fun opening act too! Maybe The Saturdays? xoox
#SatsToSupportKylie
Soo excited to announce some really exciting news tomorrow morning on Daybreak! Make sure u tune in! Xxx
The Saturdays’ official Twitter (as well as Una Healy) also retweeted the Perez tweet.
It may be that the band just has high hopes and nothing more, but the whole announcement bit on Mollie’s page makes me wonder if it’s actually going to end up happening.
PLEASE POP GODS: LET THIS COME TO BE.
You don’t know about a girl!
While certain other girl groups are busy splintering off and side-eying each other through the press, The Sugababes are sticking it out together.*
Amelle, Heidi, Keisha, Siobhan, Mutya and Jade have just unleashed a trio of fragrances on September 18 called Sugababes by Sugababes–the first ever fragrance release by a girl group!
The collection, made up of Tempt (“vigorously fruity”), Tease (“sexy and sultry”) and Touch (“intense”), is “spirited, uplifting, and perfect for the modern young woman.” At least that’s what I’m being told.
To celebrate this release, MuuMuse is proud to be giving away ONE SET of the Sugababes by Sugababes fragrance collection.
To enter to win, send me an e-mail with the subject line “SUGASMELL” telling me YOUR favorite Sugababes song and why, or tweet me with the following phrase: “I want to tempt, tease, and touch @MuuMuse! #SugaMuu”
A winner will be selected and notified on November 3. PLEASE NOTE: This is a UK only contest!
So what are you waiting for? Push the button and enter now–you’ll be cooler than the red dress!
For more information on the Sugababes fragrances, check out the official Facebook.
*As of September 2009, in their current (fourth) incarnation.
YES. YES. YES!!! IT’S A KYLIEXXPLOSION UP IN THIS BITCH.
Kylie Minogue performed the fabulous second single from Aphrodite (and one of the best singles of 2010) “Get Outta My Way” on Dancing With The Stars tonight, her first of several promo appearances stateside this week. (VIDEO)
Mercifully, she opted not to perform her alleged third single, “Better Than Today.” I’m not going to dwell much further on the matter, but let’s just say there are literally eight songs that would have made for a better single than “Better Than Today.” In fact, It’s the only Aphrodite track I dislike. Naturally, the pick has sort of left me devastated. I digress.
Oh, what a performance it was! The set-up was essentially the same ol’, same ol’ at this point: Chair dance, muscle marys, intricate hand choreography, and the same ever-so-slightly-too-high vocal delivery. But no matter! Everything she does is fierce and fabulous, and I still fall to pieces watching her perform because she is literally the living embodiment of perfection. Objectively speaking, that is.
Oh–and IT’S OFFICIAL: Kylie Minogue’s Les Folies Tour 2011 is hitting North America! Check out this teaser site right now and register to find out where and when she’ll be performing as soon as the dates are announced.
My “Cupid Boy” tee is already hung up and ready to go!
Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite was released on June 30 in the US. (iTunes)
Yay!
Wynter Gordon is about to release her debut EP, The First Dance, on November 9.
The collection will include several of the rising disco diva’s collaborations with high profile acts including The Freemasons, Static Revenger, and David Guetta, as well as a fantastic new mix of her #1 Dance Club Play single, “Dirty Talk.”
Ch-check it out:
1. “Renegade†by Wynter Gordon feat. Static Revenger
2. “Toyfriend” David Guetta feat. Wynter Gordon
3. “Believer” Freemasons feat. Wynter Gordon
4. “I Feel Love” Rhythm Masters & M YNC feat. Wynter Gordon
5. “Right Here” Wynter Gordon (Famties Remix)
6. “Dirty Talk” Wynter Gordon (Denzal Park Remix)
This ought to tide us over until the release of her long awaited debut album, With The Music I Die, due out sometime in 2011.
In the meantime, check out MuuMuse’s interview with Wynter from back in May.
The First Dance EP will be released on November 9. “Dirty Talk” was released on February 18. (iTunes)
I love me some Nicki Minaj more than my Mac notebook with the Pro Tools (or even a couple pink toes in my sandals!), but no. I just cannot with this song.
It’s like a lesser “Boom Boom Pow.”
I know, I know…haters, you can kill yoselvessss. Sorry, HB! You look super cute as always, though.

Remember when you were 15 years old and your then best friend in middle school messaged you on AIM after school one day to ask you to read her ‘poetry,’ and even though you didn’t really want to, you hit accept on the transfer request for “MyTears.doc” anyway? And then you read it, and it was literally the most terrible thing you’ve ever read in your life, but instead you told her that it was ‘really powerful’ and ‘emotional’ because you have no other friends and she hangs out with you during gym?
Welcome to Messy Little Raindrops.
Rawrrr!
I love me some Lykke Li–from the folkier stuff of her debut (2008′s Youth Novels) to her brilliant, chilly collaboration with Kleerup, “Until We Bleed.”
“Get Some” is Lykke Li’s brand new single, which finds the Swedish chanteuse now diving head first into grittier territory: “Like the shotgun needs an outcome / I’m your prostitute, you gon’ get some,” the singer taunts above crashing drums and swinging, ’60′s surf sounds.
Quite a change of pace from the sugary-sweet precociousness of “Little Bit” and “Dance Dance Dance”!
The single is currently available as a free download from Lykke Li’s website, as well as a B-side, “Paris Blue.”
“Get Some” was released on October 22. (iTunes)
Here we go–the moment we’ve all been waiting for*, Cheryl Cole‘s kick-off performance for her new album, Messy Little Raindrops! (VIDEO)
Hitting the stage in a tight, white coat, thigh-high striped leggings and bombshell red hair (totally works for her here!), Ms. Tweedy busted out a live (live? Pre-recorded live vocals may be more accurate what with all that jumping around) performance of her terrible new single, “Promise This.”
The darling chanteuse pulled even harder moves and displayed more confidence than her debut “Fight For This Love” X Factor performance amid roughly fifty bazillion male dancers, again proving just how hard she’s going to fight, fight, fight her way to the top of the charts.
Best of all, Cole included another blistering breakdown at the song’s end featuring some signature snarls, hip thrusts, and tough girl attitude. Oh, god–YUMMY! I just get all giddy every time it happens. Time to make .gifs!
If Sweet Chezza Baby hasn’t already stolen away the hearts and souls of every man, woman, and child in Great Britain, she surely has now. I’ll be absolutely stunned if she doesn’t snatch the Number One position on the singles chart next week. (Even if Rihanna‘s got the better song…just saying.)
I sure wish all this AMAZING! wasn’t wasted on such a shitty song, though.
*Highly subjective.
