And a year after Madonna gave Gaga her blessings and said she loved the song, she speaks out!  It’s called publicity.

Ugh.

I like Gaga a lot, but it’ll be interesting for her to listen to this. She’s unbearable, thinking everything she does is gold. She has to go back to The Fame and remember she could be fun, and not do everything by herself alone. She used to have good directors, producers, and now she’s struggling to bring something new because everything about her is her job. It’s just crazy.

Except Madonna never even gave her blessing. Gaga made it up. Madonna’s publicist, manager or whoever it was even said that the email Gaga was referring to never even existed.

I love this site because I get updates about a lot of singers I’m actually interested in but I must say the constant over stanning for so many people and flip-flopping here, there, and everywhere does grow tedious. I know it’s mostly just in good fun but it’s rather grating and reading through the constantly stan soaked posts is tiring. Maybe pull it back a little?

I’m not taking any of this Gaga/Madonner stuff seriously, obviously the timing of this comment was chosen perfectly by Madonner and her team. I give her props for getting that attention that she’s only had the last couple of years because of Gaga comparisons. I just don’t think it reflects the best on Madge. I’m not sure if this is the best way to start of an album campaign.

Share it till it goes viral and stays in history as the fact that it is:It  is not only the chords progression that is the same. The way she has put her message into words, and the way their lyrics are structured, are completely the same; the way it tries to be universal and the way it starts intimate or personal and goes on to sound like a political or religious preach on the chorus for example. Same goes for the way the melodies in the song sound, somewhere between a hollywood/cabaret/camp/drag act, a military march and a gospel chorus.The very essence of what Express Yourself was as a song, besides its literal message, is the exact same thing that BTW is in essence creatively conceptually and musically. Everything from vocal style, to structure and chord progression, to the specific mixture and balance of styles and attitudes is exactly the same. They are as similar on all aspects as it gets. The only thing that would be more similar to Express Yourself is Express Yourself.Now, all that is left, is Madonna singing Express Yourself over the Born This Way instrumental and Born This Way over the Express Yourself instrumental for her tour… It’s her song after all! I mean, I LOVE Gaga, but let’s not hide behind our fingers any longer, just because most Little Monsters are bullies.She can title the remixes Born Yourself and Express This Way!!!
But still, M better practice her vocals A LOT before going on tour this time…

Yeah, but that was all pre-Gaga. I just wonder what she really thinks about Britney and Gaga. Like does like Britney as a person but no so much as an artist? Does she find Gaga a creative copycat but still more creative then Britney? You know, I want detailed, juicy opinions from her!

Do you not remember seeing Madonna wear ‘Britney’ Shirts, and telling the media that she wears them to bed?! She loves Britney, as a person and as an artist.

As I tweeted to DJ White Shadow: “Born This Way is Express Yourself, as much as Judas is Bad Romance, which is 100% only with generally worse lyrics and kitsch production. Fact.”
As for the people saying, yes but Express Yourself copied Respect Yourself, no it didn’t. The songs are not similar if you compare them as full bodies at all. Madonna used the “respect yourself” line from that song and used it as one of the many hooks of Express Yourself and she even sings it intact too inside her song, while Express Yourself as a full song has no other concrete similarities to Respect Yourself.
Besides the fact that she take the message from self respect to women self respect, just as much as Gaga takes it from women self respect to LGBT self respect. But no one accused Gaga for that in the first place, so…

madonna only like brit more because shes not threatened by britney because madge knows britney is a record label puppet with no artistic integrity and gaga is actually in control of her persona and her music
