Lana Del Rey Shoots Video for “Summertime Sadness”
When I saw Queen Lana Del Rey tweet a photo of herself awkwardly holding shoulders with actress Jaime King in a convertible five days ago, I assumed that was just Lana Del Rey being Lana Del Rey. A normal Wednesday!
But alas, there was a reason.
According to JustJared, Lana’s been shooting a video for “Summertime Sadness,” the next single off of Born To Die (and one of my very favorites from the record.) Fittingly, it should be dropping next month…or, well, summertime.
Kyle Newman (King’s husband) and Spencer Susser directed the video, which was shot in Santa Clarita, California. Also, professional attractive person Alex Pettyfer was on hand as a ‘production assistant,’ because obviously male models are the only suitable production assistants when shooting a video for Lana Del Rey.
We need more diamonds and glamour in here, Alex! MORE DIAMONDS AND GLAMOUR.
But seriously: Amazing single choice, Lana. Destined to be yet another smash!
You can see more photos behind-the-scenes over at JustJared.
I GOT THAT SUMMERTIME SLAYNESS.
“Summertime Sadness” will be released in May. (iTunes)
