Bright Light Bright Light Unveils ’24 Days of Christmas’ Bootleg Advent Calendar

It’s Christmastime, and Bright Light Bright Light is feeling mighty festive.

To celebrate the season, the UK electro-pop prince has unveiled his very own advent calendar: 24 Days of Christmas, a collection of bootlegs he’s produced over the past year, bringing his brilliant 2012 record Make Me Believe In Hope together with some major pop tunes.

On December 1st, he released a mash-up of his own “Cry At Films” with Kylie Minogue‘s “Get Outta My Way,” which gives our disco darling’s 2010 Aphrodite smash a delightful ’80’s sheen that plays like one of Minogue’s Stock Aitken Waterman classics. On December 2nd, he unveiled a mash-up of his “Love Part II” with Robin S‘s iconic “Show Me Love.” And today, he’s unveiled his mash-up of “Moves” (my favorite from the record!) with Billie Ray Martin‘s mid’90’s House hit, “Your Loving Arms.” It’s a purely blissful disco reinvention.

Keep your eyes and ears glued to Mr. Light’s 24 Days of Christmas page daily for a new aural surprise each day.

Make Me Believe In Hope was released in June. (iTunes)
