Mutya Keisha Siobhan Tease Upcoming Track, “Boys”

Mutya Keisha Siobhan

Good things come to those who wait. (And wait, and wait…)

After whipping out some solid classics during their super secret, super sugary Ponystep New Year’s Eve party performance last week, the artists formerly known as the SugababesMutya Keisha Siobhan–are back with a sampling from their upcoming 2013 (re-)debut: “Boys.” (Our girl groups seem pretty boy crazy lately, no?)

In a new video uploaded earlier today, the talented trio take on their new track a cappella, allowing their voices to shine without even a lick of instrumentation. Unsurprisingly, they all sound amazing during their respective solo sections, but it’s the groupwork that’s their strongest suit. Those heaven-sent harmonies at the end? That’s what we like to call “Soul Sound.” Just incredible!

And if you thought the a capella was brilliant (because, well, it is), prepare for the studio version–or at least, all 3 seconds of it, provided over at PopJustice. There’s also some additional scoop: It’s a midtempo, it’s “big and electronic,” it was penned by Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard, Shaznay Lewis (All Saints!) and Ash Howes and produced by pop wunderkind MNEK. And it all sounds utterly massive already…

SOMEONE LOOP THIS INTO A 3:30 TRACK.

Now, can we get a release date already? I’m on overload in my head.

“We’re over, so over/Thought you could diss me, then come kiss me? I told ya…”
