Miley and Britney Have A #BANGERZ In The Works

It’s Twerkney, bitch.

Loose-tongued, cultural appropriation thinkpiece generator Miley Cyrus and the Legendary Pop Princess-turned-Queen of Pop Britney Spears have hopped on a track together.

Judging by the mutual tweet appreciation between the two, as well as Mileybird’s recent Godney stanning (plus the fact that they share Larry Rudolph as a manager), this should really come as no surprise to anyone.

The cool, funky and undoubtedly #urban collaboration for the “Wrecking Ball” chanteuse’s upcoming album Bangerz has been officially confirmed on the red carpet at the 2013 BMI R&B/ Hip-Hop Awards by producer Sean Garrett, known best for penning that smash on the radio, Blackout‘s “Toy Soldier.”

From Vibe:

“It’s fun, exciting [music]. We got one with that Britney,” he tells VIBE. It should come as no surprise that the two pop divas are tag teaming given their playful banter on Twitter, where Brit even asked the star formerly known as Hannah Montana for some help with her dancing.

“Loving your new video for #WeCantStop @MileyCyrus! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL ;) xo,” Spears tweeted to Cyrus in June.

When asked if Garrett hooked Miley up with the feature given his previous work with the “Baby One More Time” singer on “Toy Soldier” from her 2007 effort Blackout, he said it was “collective.”

“Shoutout to my man Mike Will [Made It] but Mike Will, Miley and me just got in the studio and wanted to make it the biggest record possible,” he says. “It’s just a pleasure to be working with some icons like that.”

Brit Brit has almost never blessed a lesser artist’s tracklisting: In fact, she’s only been featured on will.i.am‘s “Scream & Shout” last year, Rihanna‘s “S&M (Remix)” (giving you that Coldney vocal realness). And then, there was the time she fulfilled her duties as Wifeney on K-Fed‘s “Crazy,” which is a moment most Britney stans have long since blocked from their memory. (That chorus is straight fire, though.)

Let us all light many a vanilla candle and pray that the twerks will be tasty and timeless — and that if there’s ever a live performance, it won’t involve the newly emancipated “We Can’t Stop” starlet flailing across the stage like a 9-year-old pageant princess hopped up on one too many pixie sticks and rubbing up against Britney like a chihuahua in heat.

Twerk us out nah, gurls.
