Lana Del Rey’s “Young & Beautiful” Gets A Cedric Gervais Remix, So Let’s Take What We Can Get

Lana Del Rey is a cruel, cruel heartbreaker who likes to toy with our emotions.

Sure, the “Gods & Monsters” poetess will allow about three albums worth of material to leak over the course of the year after the release of her masterful 2012 debut Born To Die, but when she actually decides to announce something official — like a mini-film called Tropico, let’s say — she’ll leave you hanging for all of eternity.

So, while we continue to wait for the Tropico premiere, there’s this: The Cedric Gervais remix of her smash hit Great Gatsby soundtrack anthem, “Young & Beautiful,” which was released to Beatport on Friday. (It premiered on radio earlier this summer, but is only now being officially released.)

As you’ll remember, Gervais is responsible for lifting Lana up to the upper echelon of the Billboard Hot 100 this summer with his remix of “Summertime Sadness.” And even though his remix style is, like, fairly basic EDM (sorry, Cedric), it’s apparently quite pleasing to the mainstream ear.

Perhaps this will score Lana her second Top 10 hit? In a Lana-less world, I’ll take anything I can get.

“Young & Beautiful (Cedric Gervais Remix)” was released on October 11. (Beatport)
