Sky Ferreira‘s Night Time, My Time just got a face — and it’s a pretty unforgettable one.
In the past few weeks, Sky’s promo campaign has (finally) kicked into gear. It began with the bloody good, The Hunger-referencing video for “You’re Not The One” last month. This week, Sky began uploading grainy-but-promising audio samples of her oft-delayed debut album on Instagram. And now, she’s just unveiled the stark accompanying album art, captured by acclaimed Argentine director Gaspar Noé.

It’s shocking, jarring and a bit brutal — a sharp contrast to her more glamorous campaign shots for the likes of Saint Laurent and Forever 21. There’s also some Psycho undertones just in time for Halloween — pretty sick. (It’s also a bit “just saw my ex-boyfriend out at the bar, BRB having lots of feelings in the shower about it.”)
Sky is really one of the most visually captivating subjects in fashion and music, from her V Magazine ode to Madonna to her otherworldly shoot with Nick Knight. This is a photograph that deconstructs that glossy sheen for a more honest, blunt approach…much like the music inside.
