Premiere: Katy Perry – “Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J) (4FRNT Remix)”

True to its name, Katy Perry‘s “Dark Horse” has become…well, a dark horse.

While the album’s mega-power ballad “Unconditionally” has brought the Prism princess lukewarm success (not a meow, not yet a “Roar”), her #SomethingMoreUrban jam — which was originally released months ago as a Pepsi promo single — has suddenly gone galloping (HORSE HUMOR) up the charts, traveling all the way up to #4 as of this week on the Billboard Hot 100.

And now, it’s time to ride this horse straight onto the dance floor. (Sorry, I’ll stop now.)

Enter rising production stars 4FRNT, who you might remember from their major remix of Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used To Know” — which has since racked up over 12 million plays (!) on YouTube.

The official mix of Katy’s mystical bop takes the “Roar” songstress out of the trap with Mr. Juicy and into the club, stretching the song into a 6 minute dance floor free-for-all and tossing in some fun speaker-shakin’ beats perfect for pumping up the jam in your golden #PRISMTruck. Are you ready for, ready for…a little more?

“Dark Horse” was released on September 17. (iTunes)
