It’s the last day of September, which means it’s time for yet another round of MuuTunes.
This month’s batch of tunez includes standouts from the highly anticipated debut records by Miss Betty Who and Tinashe (Slaynashe), uptempo cuts from hottie Nick Jonas and underrated powerhouse-turned-disco diva Jennifer Hudson, chill vibez from TIAAN, BANKS and Jhene Aiko, as well as club floor fillers from the likes of Estonian moon-pop goddess Kerli and Tove Lo, who also happened to release the best pop album of the month — and perhaps the year to date.
Accordingly, the first track of the collection is my favorite bop from Tove’s Queen Of The Clouds (out today!), “Talking Body.” It’s essentially the Swedish cousin to “Rude Boy” I needed so desperately in 2014.
