Jake Lore, “Charlie” Lyric Video: Premiere

Earlier this summer, I wrote about Brooklyn-based music maker Jake Lore and his dreamy Born To Believe EP.

And now, there’s a little bit of a (rather eye-popping!) visual to add to the project: Above is the lyric video for “Charlie,” the EP’s earnest electronic power ballad.

The VHS-like, self-directed black and white clip sees the heavily tattooed crooner spinning ’round and ’round while the lyrics flash by onscreen. Conveniently, Jake’s clothes also happen to keep sliding off (hate when that happens!) and on as well. The clip dares to get slightly NSFW, but don’t let that distract you — there are still lyrics to be learned.

Watch the lyric video for “Charlie” above and, if you haven’t yet, listen to the full Born To Believe EP on SoundCloud.
