Legendtina To Perform New York-Themed Medley At NBA All-Star Game

LEGENDTINA NEWS NETWORK (New York, NY) — GRAMMY Award-winning caviar ratchet chanteuse, ABC Family Executive Producer-Legend and two time Channel V Thailand Music Video Awards winner Legendtina Marina Nina Desnudate Goduilera will officially be performing at the NBA All-Star Game this February.

The NBA’s official press release, courtesy of Legendtina fan Tumblr, the Associated Press:

Ariana Grande isn’t the only big-voiced singer performing at the NBA All-Star Game: Christina Aguilera has been added to the lineup. NBA announced Tuesday that Aguilera will perform ahead of the 64th annual game on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. She will sing a “New York-themed medley” during player introductions and be joined by dance troupe The Rockettes.

The Back To Basics singer’s love for New York City is well-documented: Longtime fans will no doubt recall her dirrty performance in front of the city skyline in 2002 hosted by Voice personal assistant Carson Daly, which NYC officials at the time breathlessly hailed as “against city health code” and “definitely didn’t have a permit to perform there.”

“As a true lover of New York, I thought it only would be right for me to pay tribute to the city,” Legend X Excluusively explained to us in a sit-down interview from the red swivel chair on the set of The Voice.

“New York needs a proper tribute. You know, I was just there a few weeks ago for some meetings about my record, and I saw something that really disturbed me. It was this brightly colored tourism advertisement, made by some company called Taylor Swift — I think it’s a greeting card company or something — but the theme song they used in that ad was just—” she suddenly stopped to spit out her gum at an assistant. “It was a total mess. It’s about time for my arrival…to give the people what they truly deserve. New York SAY-ty!”

Her Legend remained tight (red) lipped regarding exact details of the performance, although NBA officials confirm that the iconic songstress has already given the troupe a new name during rehearsals: The Lotusettes — and she even shipped special care packages to their homes.

“Someone threw this through my window. It was attached to a copy of Bionic,” a Lotusette dancer breathlessly confirmed to us while holding up a tiny box. The contents? A tube of Blu-Red LipSense lipstick, a bottle of Christina Aguilera By Day and a handwritten note: “Wear it during the show…or else. XOXO.”

The performance will also be Legendtina’s first nationally televised sporting event performance since her highly critically acknowledged performance of the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV, during which the peerless icon bravely decided to reinterpret the American classic with stunning 30-second vocal runs, loud patriotic growls and advanced lyrical revisions. (“It needed a tune-up,” she later explained while hurriedly tossing jock straps into her purse inside one of the team’s locker rooms during the game.)

And how does the “Lotus Intro” sensation feel about sharing the same stage with pint-size pop performer, Ariana Grande? “Actually, I’ll have a Mocha Choca lata ya ya. HA!

The legend arrives on February 15.
