On Saturday, March 27, gay club Score (Gaga stopped there after her New Years Eve performance his year–it’s been officially christened!) will be hosting a massive event during the Winter Music Conference, including performances by MuuMuse favorites Kelis, Wynter Gordon, Estelle, Lolene, and Agnes.

Today, Lady Gaga announced the second American leg of The Monster Ball Tour Starring Lady Gaga, presented by Virgin Mobile.

Per the official press release:

In keeping with Lady Gaga’s flair for the theatrical, as well as her innovative and creative spirit, the second leg of the tour promises to push the limits of the live concert experience, bringing fans a spectacle even more eye-popping than what they experienced during the thrilling first leg of The Monster Ball.

“It’s still called Monster Ball, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert,” Lady Gaga said in a February interview with KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest. “It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost.”

The Runaways is the upcoming Biopic that tells the tumultuous tale behind Joan Jett’s rocking lady band, The Runaways.

While I was hesitant to give this one the time of day initially (I’m not big on Kristen Stewart to put it mildly), this teaser clip of the duo’s performance of “Cherry Bomb” has completely won me over. Dakota Fanning absolutely owns her inner Cherie Currie!

The Runaways will see a limited theatre run on March 19, followed by a full worldwide release on April 9. For more information, check out the movie’s official website and MySpace page.

It’s time to get transitive up in this bitch.

I love Kaskade. Kaskade is a member of Late Night Alumni. Therefore, I love me some Late Night Alumni.

But Kaskade or otherwise, I’ve always adored this group. Composed of lead singer Becky Jean Williams, Finn Bjarnson, John Hancock, and Ryan Raddon (Kaskade), Late Night Alumni is a stunning dreamy dance-pop outfit responsible for some the lushest, heaven-sent soundscapes I’ve ever heard (as well as the soundtrack to countless makeup tutorials by Michelle Phan–love her so hard!)

The group’s latest album, Of Birds, Bees, Butterflies, etc., was released digitally in November of last year. However, the physical release just happened on February 2.

Where my jazz fans at?

Though I’ve never written about her on the site before, and jazz certainly isn’t the usual genre represented here at MuuMuse, I’ve always known who Hiromi Uehara is.

Perhaps best known for her blindingly fast piano skills and eccentric, experimental jazz/rock/whatever you want to call it style, Hiromi has amassed a wealth of critical acclaim from Japan to America for her impressive musicality.

For a taste of what she’s got to offer, check out any of her live performances…like this one! Or this! It’s really quite something to see.

Her brand new solo piano album, Place To Be, will be released in the US on January 26–some of which you can preview now at her MySpace.
