Earlier today, Queen Godney made an appearance at the International Olympic Committee’s 5th World Conference on Women in Sport in L.A., where she spent some time giving face and looking gawgeous with Olympic gold medalists, including Michelle Kwan and Nadia Comaneci.
Now, I know some of you might be lowering your Cheetos bags for a moment and saying to yourselves: “Wait, what? Why would The Holy Spearit attend such a seemingly random sporting event?” Um…there’s like, eleventy four million reasons why she should be there.
For one thing, Brit Brit’s already proven herself to be a Noted Equestrian Expert after the release of “Neighdar” “Radar.” Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see her at the judge’s table this summer in London.
And when she’s not watching horsies gallop ’round, she’s busy perfecting her free-of-all-flaw diving skills.
If not, maybe she’s in negotiations to implement her upcoming industry game-changer Twister Dance as a new event for the 2012 games! Or perhaps she’s been invited to invent a new game altogether: Touch Of My Handball? Get Naked (I Got A Pole Vault)? If U Seek Archery?
Finally: Why not? It’s Britney, bitch! Now let the games begin!

VIVA OLYMPICNEY.

“Twister on the floor, what do you say?” Godney once asked us on her 2009 single, “3.” Well, clearly the resounding answer was “Sure, Britney!” because that’s quite literally what’s happening.
Just minutes ago, Britney Spears and Hasbro announced a partnership for the release of TWISTER DANCE, a new variation (or “twist”–AHAHAHA!!11!1!) on the classic game Twister, coming out in Fall of 2012.
Following in the footsteps of the iconic 2002 industry game-changer Britney’s Dance Beat, Spears is once again putting her fans’ moves to the test. “Let me see what you can do…,” as one might say.
From Business Wire:
With the help of pop icon Britney Spears, everyone will be dancing until the world ends with the new TWISTER DANCE game from Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS). The innovative game combines today’s best dance music with the iconic TWISTER spots and will give girls a new way to learn moves to today’s hottest dance songs, including a custom TWISTER remix of “Till the World Ends” featuring Britney Spears.
“Dancing has been such an important part of my life since I was a little girl,” said Britney Spears. “As soon as I saw the new TWISTER DANCE game, I knew I wanted to be involved. I think kids will love rocking the spots and dancing to the music as much as my boys and I do. It’s a lot of fun!”
In addition to having a custom remix of her hit song featured in the game, Spears will be featured on game packaging, in a television ad and in dance instruction videos that will be released in Fall 2012.
So now, there’s three new things to make life worth living: A brand new remix of “Till The World Ends,” an upcoming promotional campaign heavily featuring The Holy Spearit (B on your TV!), and a new game to cherish for life. ADD THIS TO YOUR AMAZON SHOPPING CARTS NOW, BITCHES.
Just as “Mona Lisa” predicted the breakdown, so too did “3″ predict the Twister Dance.
THE POWER OF NOSTRADAMNEY.

‘Controversial’ chanteuse Lana Del Rey has been busy fielding interviews across the country (and abroad!) in promotion of her newly released debut album Born To Die. (Want to win a copy?)
During a radio interview with Rick Astley on the UK’s Magic 105.4, Lana spoke briefly about one of her musical inspirations: Miss Britney Spears.
From MTV:
When it comes to Britney, I’m not really interested in a ton of female musicians but there is something about her that compelled me, the way she sings and just the way she looks.
The Holy Spearit thanks you for your kind words and blesses you with Vanilla candles and kisses, Queen Lana Del Slay.

The Holy Spearit will continue to bless us with new tunes in 2012–even if it’s not through her own music.
In an interview with Capital FM, Black Eyed Peas front-man Will.I.Am confirmed that Britney will be featured on his upcoming album, #willpower.
From the interview:
Speaking about the album’s collaborations, Will.i.am said: “I have a song with Alicia Keys – me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy.”
My personal feelings on Mr. I.Am aside, I could NOT be happier to hear that we’re about to hear a new tune from The One And Only Miss Spears. Here’s hoping the song features only Britney’s vocals! (A boy can dream.)
Y’all ready for the kick drum? For the kick drum? The bass is about to get EVEN. BIG-GAH.

As we already know from an interview with RCA’s Joe Riccitelli, Britney‘s taking a break from music in 2012.
I’m so, so, so happy that Britney’s getting some much-deserved rest in the new year…but my God, I hate fuckin’ waiting!
Yesterday, Britney fans made no less than three topics trend on Twitter worldwide throughout the day (“I’m A Slave 4 Britney,” “Love 2 Love Britney” and “Britney Is Our Queen”). It was totally fun! But unfortunately, trending topics never last long until that sinking feeling comes once again.
To help us all get through the next 12-24 lonely months of Britlessness, I’ve compiled a few helpful tips for how you can best occupy your time in the interim. Don’t go crazy: Let’s go-o-o all the way-y-y until we get that eighth studio album!

The Living Legend, The Sensual Seductress, The Enchanting Mistress Miss Britney Spears opened up to V Magazine for their 2012 Music Issue to discuss 2011′s Femme Fatale Tour, including her pre-show rituals (she prays!), backstage goodies (hummus and pita bread!) and her thoughts on the tour as a whole.
Plus, check out the brand new photo above of Spears and a part of her Femme Fatale Tour team…looking GORGEOUS! I think? Maybe? It’s kind of insanely Photoshopped in the strangest way. Err…Cutoutney?
An excerpt from V Magazine (courtesy of BreatheHeavy):
What is the most fun part of touring?
Britney: Meeting different kinds of fans from all over the world. They are so different in every country. I just did a few shows in Russia and all of the fans had big heart signs in the audience and had hearts painted on their hands. It was really cool. Also having the people I am closest to with me all of the time and staying in the same hotels every night. We have been together for many years now so we have become one big happy family. Is there someone not pictured who is integral to making your show happen?
Britney: Yes a ton of people: my entire crew who builds my show, runs my show and moves my show from city to city. They work SO hard and I am so thankful for them. My band Shock and Awe made up of my longtime musical directors. Simon Ellis and Marc, my wardrobe girls who help me dress every night and keep my costumes together, my dad who keeps me on track, and of course my boyfriend, Jason, and my boys who keep me smiling every single day.Do you have any lucky charms?
Britney: I believe I make my own luck.
As we already knew from “Criminal,” she’s speaking the truth: She’s his lucky charm, after all! (Oh, and she chooses her own destiny too, thank you.)

By the way, Happy One Year Anniversary today to “Hold It Against Me”–otherwise known as MuuMuse’s Single of 2011!
Go on and revisit the original review from January 10, 2011 (can you believe it’s been a year?!). Here’s to Britney, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee, Billboard and Myah Marie for making the song possible!

STOP BREATHING: NEW (OLD) BRITNEY.
It’s been leaking in snippets and bits for weeks now, but alas–Britney‘s original demo for “Look Who’s Talking” has finally surfaced, thanks to the boys and girls (begging to If U Seek Amy) at BadMediaKarma!
The Bloodshy & Avant-produced, Godney co-penned track was first featured on K-Pop superstar BoA‘s 2009 self-titled US debut (as you all already knew because you read every single Daily B ever), and fans have long been waiting to hear B’s original demo.
Recorded around In The Zone and before the lost Original Doll sessions, “Look Who’s Talking Now” seemingly captures a sparkle of Rebellionney in the making: “Controversy is like a ticking time bomb/Controversy is what they want/You best believe that’s not what I spend my time on/Controversy is all they want,” B fiercely purrs during the middle eight. And those signature Britney riffs at the end? YUM!
She may not be releasing new music in ’12, but yet we’ve still got new Godney to celebrate…so let’s dance!
Think you got her figured out?
Well, look who’s talking now…it’s B!
MERRY BRITMAS, Y’ALL!
‘Tis the season to be jolly…and leaky, apparently!
When I got the initial tweet that Godney‘s “Strangest Love” had leaked earlier this morning, I did what any rational, level-headed fan would do: I threw my presents in the air, raced down the hallway and immediately began flailing and falling to my knees with my Spearit rosary beads in hand as I pushed “Play.” And oh, what a thoroughly flaw-free production…seriously!
While the original recording date is unconfirmed (for now), we do know that producer Guy Chambers published a song called “Strangest Love” on BMI (credited along with Westlife‘s Brian McFadden). Brit Brit reportedly worked with Chambers while recording 2003′s In The Zone–plus, the production sounds similar to the Chambers-produced Kylie Minogue cut, “Sensitized.” Is it a match? Maybe…seems likely!
Whatever the case, “Strangest Love” is pure paradise: The vocals and lyrics are almost as lush as Brit Brit’s finest Adultney moment back in 2005: “And Then We Kiss.” Those moans in the background, the chilly break beats against the piano, that falsetto moment during the bridge…and the final improvised cries? So smooth, so sensual…like a touch of Sade thrown into the mix! Utterly destroyed.
For fans missing out on more of the traditional balladry of Brit Brit’s back catalog, this leak comes as a seriously appreciated Christmas treat. Nice to hear some real vocals happening again!
‘Til something changes, it’s a different language / Words say too much, and get in the way / We talk in the strangest love…
You’re speaking my language, B! It’s just like Madonna preached back on 1994′s “Bedtime Story”: “Words are useless, especially sentences. They don’t stand for anything. How could they explain how I feel?”
