Daily B

Not too much happening on the Britney front, aside from a (court mandated?) visit to a psychiatrist’s home for an hour yesterday and a quick stop or two at Starbucks. Oh, and the unveiling of a strange new Chinese tinged Latin accent.

Anywho, reports are swirling that the latest Blender Magazine issue’s main feature will be regarding Britney, and that there’s some sort of “bombshell” cover to be released. Blender Magazine tends to deliver accolades to Britney when merited, so I believe this will be a potentially positive release. I just hope the cover photograph comes from a proper photoshoot. And that it involves scantily cladness. Though that wouldn’t be much of a stretch now, would it?

Speaking of photoshoots, two stunning photos from a shoot sometime last year have leaked. And yes, they’re absolutely gorgeous. It’s refreshing to see that she can still clean up a few times a year.

8a88a116011dd403e0095722f57ce79b Daily B: Flashback
She hasn’t kissed anyone, shown the lady bits off, or said anything particularly controversial in the past twenty four hours…Needless to say, I’m concerned. Therefore, a brief trip down memory lane is in order.

Back in the days of possibility, Britney ran over to KIIS FM in L.A. in 2005 to preview a song from her upcoming album, tentatively titled The Original Doll. The project was later scrapped, though recordings from the sessions remain (some still unheard).

“Mona Lisa” is undoubtedly a departure from her older material, as well as the first time that Britney showed any sort of “rebellion” within her material. It was later rerecorded and rewritten for the Chaotic DVD release, but the second version lacks the rawness of the original demo.

It’s a bit chilling to hear the song now as she sings about Mona Lisa’s downfall (she’s referred to “Mona Lisa” as her alter ego). The lyrics signaled the death of bubblegum Britney, and the start of something new: “She was taken under, drowning in her sea / Running like an angel, she was crying and could not see / See everyone’s watching as she starts to fall / They want her to break down, and be a legend of the fall.” The vocals are surely nothing to write home about, nor is her poetic expertise, but hey, she actually wrote this one. And the lyrics ring frighteningly true lately, now don’t they?

c817ed5f72c93dbeadbc315a60221ce3 Daily B: Leaky AND Flaky

A consistently reliable source from the StarsVIP forum has posted the supposed tracklisting of the two-disc demo that Britney was seen toting around for the past few years. It includes the working titles of all of the tracks we’ve heard on Blackout, plus a few new ones. I’d dismiss this as bull, except not only are all of these tracks confirmed by the producers, but one of them leaked today (“All That She Wants,” see previous post from today if you missed it.)

Money, sex, and souls have been offered to the man claiming to have them. I think I put a few of my appendages and cherished possessions on the offering list at some point as well… Time will tell if he’ll leak it in full. Until then, we still have about 60% of these demos, which were leaked in September/October.

Click “read more” to see the full track list of supposed demos.

Additionally, she showed up to the courthouse for today’s custody hearing, but not the courtroom. Baby steps! First the building, now inside the courthouse. I’m not going to venture a guess for next month’s custody hearing…she may even make it to the door this time!

Britney has reunited with Adnan. They were seen reuniting at 5:30 today in Malibu, driving away. Later on, Adnan got into a minor accident with a motorcyclist. See the video here. Off to a rousing start, yes?

d7a460f59e56edf0452ca6d5cbdb0457 Daily B: Sold Down The RiverDespite reassuring both paparazzi and media alike, user #2 Adnan Ghalib is now set to sell his story on Entertainment Tonight in an exclusive interview regarding his relationship and time spent with Britney Spears. Incredibly tacky on both ET and Adnan’s part. Not to mention the introduction question: “Adnan, have you been paid for this interview?” With his caterpillar-facial hair crawling vertically across his chin (has no one told him that “look” doesn’t work? For anybody?) he responds smugly, “No. Not at all.”

Pig.

c1a9d0398514d42c390710e3527f89e8 A Daily B Thought
Now, I may be eating my words for saying anything encouraging about her behavior, but I simply cannot help but slightly enjoy the antics of Lady B this week. For one, the British accent is as intact as ever. Secondly, this video of Britney interacting with the paparazzi and a homeless man. Starting at 2:15 minutes, As she smokes on her cigarette mid-drive, in which she says with all her Brit-ness, “You’re better off being homeless than being me, sir.” And as soon as she’s questioned as to what part of England she hails from, she goes mum. Undoubtedly because she doesn’t know any specific part of England. Instead, she writes them off with, “Alright. Thank you very much, please let me go.” She’s a bit Joan Crawford lately, now isn’t she? “It’s been a long time since I’ve had fun…I love you men.” she declares. I can’t help but swoon. Crazy? Probably. Entertaining? As always.

ce4cfe89b82d18b37ff9a7b275e821e0 Daily B: All Right?
Not only did Britney show up to her deposition on time and in good spirits today, but she also offered up some conversation with the paparazzi. She revealed to them that the new single from Blackout is to be “Hot As Ice.” She was seen working on a performance involving a chair at Millenium Dance Studio for three hours on Sunday night, according to People Magazine. X17 reports the quoted conversation with Britney:

“I don’t like the Piece of Me video,” Brit said to our photogs. “The stuff they show of me on TV looks old.”

Brit’s displeasure with how her last video came off could be one of the reasons she’s decided to take control and go back into the dance studio Sunday.

So what can we expect for the next video?

“I wanna do something new, something really cool,” Brit announced to the group.

Now, I don’t know if this is just one of her better days or if she’s slowly gaining clarity, but at least she’s seemingly showing some consciousness in regards to her career and personal life. Will this pan out? Probably not. But here’s to being a hopeless optimist!

23bc2c69a6e2842af35bca9aed675a47 Daily B: Bickering Idiots
According to news reports from X17Online, Britney has officially filed a restraining order against Adnan, paparazzo leech, with the help of money-grubbing enabler Sam Lutfi. TMZ posted a retort of sorts, claiming that Adnan contacted them personally and said that he was unaware of any such order, and that Britney has “been in the care of Sam” the entire time. Put it all together, and the situation slightly resembles some unholy war amongst the filth of the earth, with no clear winner in sight. Meanwhile, the world stands watching as a human being with no limitations or concerns continues to be dragged deeper into the world of exploitation and abuse.
