BOO, Y’ALL!
Halloween is right around the corner!
It’s time yet again to begin searching for the perfect (tastefully slutty) costume, buying several pounds of candy corn no one’s ever going to eat until it goes stale (but isn’t it already stale? I digress), and figuring out the right party to attend–and I’d rather be caught dead than think my Muusers are out there celebrating the holiday without a spook-tacular playlist ready to go for the night!
That’s why MuuMuse has got just the treat for you…

So, the only question is…
Thank you to T. Kyle MacMahon for creating the fabulous cover art (and the oh-so-adorable BooMuse!)
You love them. You stan hard for them. But at the end of the day, they’re still tumbling down the charts faster then Beysus on a flight of stairs. (That is, if they even chart to begin with.)
This is TopFlops: The eighth entry in the MuuCast series.
All of the songs featured on TopFlops are either hit-and-miss singles, unknown gems from flop albums, or unreleased treasures by artists (or “artists”) that have been the victims of fuckery in some shape or form: Whether they’re too busy leaking their own sex tapes to pay attention to chart positions, shackled to fascist record labels that restrict them from releasing their own music, or simply sufferers of endless misfortune. (Kat Deluna, I’m sorry. THE WORLD IS SORRY.)
But relevancy is subjective (sort of) and enjoyability is eternal (sort of). Therefore, this is a playlist dedicated to the songs and artists that–despite all of their brilliance–flopped. Hard. So please, enjoy these hidden gems, buried deep below a polluted sea of modern mediocrity.
And just for the record (since no one in the Internet has a sense of humor), we here at MuuMuse genuinely love all of these artists. Seriously! We’re not hating–we’re appreciating! NOW LAY OFF.
Finally, in response to Muuser suggestions, MuuCast Episode 8: TopFlops is available as a zipped collection of tracks rather than a single .MP3. As a result, this is really more of a compilation than a podcast, but we’re not going to get our MuuPanties in a bunch about straying from the MuuCast format. DEAL WITH IT.

It’s time for a brand new MuuCast!
Fair warning: This isn’t a collection of juicy booty bangers or sizzling electro stompers–instead, it’s the stuff of dreams.
Inspired by my recent longing to travel, plenty of downtime and perhaps a touch of the holiday blues, I now present MuuCast Episode 7: Miles Away, a sampling of songs with one idea in mind: To take you far, far away.
Music’s always been an escape for me, but the following collection inspires an especially strong sense of wanderlust. It’s the music I listen to when I’m looking for inspiration, feeling emotional, or–most often of all–when I’m preparing to drift into slumberville.
The playlist begins with El Perro Del Mar‘s “Change Of Heart,” my definitive come-down anthem for dulling the sound of loud drunks and creepy scumbags while riding the last train home out of Grand Central at 2 A.M., and closes with one of my all time favorites, Duke B‘s “Hey You (feat. Angela McCluskey),” which is one of the most haunting and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. (It also makes an appearance on MuuCast Episode Three!)
Regardless, it’s yours to keep. I hope you enjoy the escape!
…And the semi-awkward spoken word introduction.

Oh, and apologies for no actual Utada on the tracklisting–I just thought her cover for Single Collection Volume 2 made a perfect match for the MuuCast’s mood!

It’s recently come to my attention that far too little attention is paid to my R&B songstresses as of late–it’s time to change that.
“Rhythm & Muuse” is a 15-track collection of just a taste of the finest R&B-laced cuts I’ve come to love over the past few years, from Cassie to Amerie to Ciara and K. Rowland, with loads of amazing artists fit snugly in between.
This was an impossible MuuCast to create–mostly because I started out with 45 potential tracks. As a result, it’s clear that there will be many more installments of “Rhythm & Muuse” to come. Consider this an introductory piece.
The goal was to include one song per artist, but–let’s face it. Ciara delivers too much fire to handle.
This mix is ready for both the dance floor and the bedroom floor, so prepare yourselves accordingly.
Now please: Turn your swag on like X Factor‘s Cher, won’t you?
