I think a MuuCast is long overdue. Don’t you?

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been going out to assorted bars and clubs in NYC for a variety of reasons (including Kylie Minogue‘s surprise performance at Splash!) For the most part however, the music selection being played hasn’t really inspired much excitement on my end.

This is MuuCast Episode 4: Your Disco Needs You, a collection of some of my favorite mixes of the moment. Basically, this is just a taste of what I’d want to be spinning were I to walk into a club tonight.

While it’s still missing tons and tons of mixes (as well as those sad disco melodies, trance tunes, and darker haunts I simply couldn’t live without), I thought this was a fair representation of some of the songs that make me want to cut loose and/or strut and vogue. (FYI: If this were a ball, I believe I’d take the title for executive realness and be a part of the House of Xtravangza. Just so you know.)

Last week, I demanded I was asked to provide a playlist for the “Staff Playlist” section of my university’s paper, The Justice. After much deliberation between booty jams and dreamy disco gems, I opted for the latter.

What’s better than a late night drive? As the first warm signs of spring came shining through this week in Waltham, I wanted to put together a soundtrack tailored to a destination-less road trip under the stars. This one’s for the late night drivers and dreamers!

Well, we’re back again–a new podcast for a new week!

This week I’ve prepared twenty of the most sizzling, summery jams to provide the perfect soundtrack for getting your tan on. I guess I tried to maintain a sort of italo-disco vibe here…you can decide if it works or not. And, as promised, I delivered a little spoken intro in the beginning. Woo!

Oh yes, and look out for the inclusion of “Fever,” the title track off of the Kylie Minogue album you voted on the MuuPoll as your favorite album of her past four releases! A brutally underrated track in my opinion.

So this is it, Muusers–my very first podcast!

Why did I start a podcast? Because I want people to listen to what I’m listening to. Like the little sheeple without a mind of your own.

Now, I’ve got no set plans for this for this thing. If the reaction’s good, I’ll do it weekly. If it’s not, I’ll do it monthly. Sure, there’s no talky bits, mix effects, or special zings and whistles thrown into the mix–who needs it with such a fantastic set of tracks?! Alright, let’s keeps it real: I was lazy, and I will probably try doing talky bits and mix effects in the near future if this succeeds in any way.

For now, this is just a smattering of what I’ve been digging lately–no real theme or sound I was attempting to create.
