Kate Havnevik Delivers “Mouth 2 Mouth” (Single Review)
Of all the Norwegian electronica chanteuses in the world, Kate Havnevik is probably my favorite. I first discovered Havnevik back in 2006 with her debut record Melankton, a dreamy collection of electronica-infused tunes produced by ...

MuuMuse Approved Tracks for the Week of January 16, 2011
5. Jennifer Lopez – Good Hit
“I got that good hit…don’t you wish I was your boo?” the industry’s reigning triple threat taunts us on her latest offering, an Auto-Tune overdose of bossiness and bragging that perfectly toes the line between brilliance and garbage. If the video preview that leaked this weekend is any indication, Jenny’s coming back with power power!
4. Keisha Buchanan – Under Control
Above a bouncy electro beat, the former Buchanan busts out a funky fresh, Robyn-like electro-pop cut recently leaked from the recording sessions for her upcoming solo album. Just in case you were fretting about the future of the unceremoniously dismissed Sugababes member, don’t worry–she’s got it under control.
3. Aggro Santos – Like U Like (feat. Kimberley Walsh)
While Cheryl’s busy trying to hold water in her hands and Nadine’s busy trying to pull together the pieces of her flopped solo campaign (Damn you, Tesco!), Kimba’s busy dancing on her own in the club with the UK’s best Pitbull impersonator. It’s a meaningless bar mitzvah banger, but it’s still super fun. And hey–there’s counting…in Portuguese!
2. Nicole Scherzinger – Don’t Hold Your Breath
The former Pussycat Dolls lead finally ticks all the right boxes on her upcoming second solo single: Gorgeous, melodic and instantly memorable, this may just be Scherzy’s breakout moment as a solo artist in her own right. (For real this time!)
1. Britney Spears – Hold It Against Me
Um, duh. Check the review if you haven’t already.
In case you’ve somehow forgotten (I myself have each former Girls Aloud member’s personal itinerary tattooed onto my inner thigh), Kimberley Walsh‘s first solo outing (as a featured act) was released today in the UK.
Aggros Santos‘ latest single, “Like U Like (feat. Kimberley Walsh),” is really, really fun and good. Like a song from Pitbull or the Black Eyed Peas, “Like U Like” shouldn’t be taken too seriously–it’s music for a night out, with a bouncy beat and silly lyrics that’ll have you moving and grooving in no time.
Here are some suggested times you might like listening to “Like U Like”:
+ Pre-gaming with all your friends before that big party your crush is hosting.
+ Clicking the “Like” button on Facebook.
+ Making sex with a person/people and/or attempting to concieve a child.
Here are some suggested times you might not like listening to “Like U Like”:
+ Post-gaming alone in the shower while cradling a bottle of Jack Daniels after you’ve accidentally peed yourself on the dance floor during that big party your crush was hosting.
+ Finding out who just unfollowed you on Twitter.
+ Walking in on your grandmother making sex with a person/people and/or attempting to concieve a child.
In conclusion: I LIKE “Like U Like”!
“Like U Like” was released today in the UK. (iTunes UK)

First was Chezza. Then came Nuhdeen. Now, it’s time for Kimba to shine.
Kimberley Walsh is officially the third Girls Aloud gal to give it a go on her own with “Like U Like,” a collaboration with the UK’s answer to Pitbull/professional Ali G lookalike, Aggro Santos.
Today, the video (and song!) premiered on Aggro Santos’ YouTube channel. (WATCH)
The most important thing to take away from this cautionary tale about speed dating is that Kimberley is looking ‘quite fit’: The sexed-up hair and booty-against-the-bright-lights are doing really good things for her (even if she does look a bit Cheryl.)
As far as the song goes, here are a few objective facts about “Like U Like”:
+ It’s a fairly anonymous dance-pop affair.
+ It’s a grower. Each play has gotten better.
+ Kimba’s chorus is pretty catchy and great-ish.
+There is far too little Kimberley Walsh on this song.
+ There is far too much Aggro Santos on this song.
+ “AY AY AY AY AY.” That’s a good part.
+ It will likely perform decently on the charts.
+ It is not the greatest song that Aggro Santos has ever recorded with an ex-girl group member named Kimberly(ey). For that, please see “Candy,” featuring the Pussycat Dolls‘ (and legendary Her Majesty & The Wolves co-founder/Andy Warhol of our generation) Kimberly Wyatt.
All this being said: Let’s cut the shit. Regroup, Girls Aloud. Regroup.
If not? Nicola or bust.
“Like U Like” will be released on January 17.

STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING: A PUSSYCAT DOLL HAS JUST DONE SOMETHING AMAZING.
“Candy” is the upcoming single by Aggro Santos, an up-and-coming urban-electro artist from Londontown. The song features vocals from Kimberly Wyatt, otherwise known as the one who did the leg-in-the-air bit at the end of each Pussycat Dolls video.
Though the debut solo song Wyatt recently posted on YouTube (“Not Just A Doll”) is more of an annoying, defiant “Suck it, Nicole Scherzinger” sort of song, “Candy” is an instantly delicious stomp fest.
Even if “Candy” sort of sounds like a standard Pitbull song in the verses, it’s the infectious ear-worm that is the chorus (“Come and get you some, come and get you some candy”) that elevates this song from modern radio pop to speaker burning brilliance.
I cannot wait to hear the song in full!
“Candy” will be released on May 10 in the UK. Click here to visit Aggro Santos’ official website.
