004 Daily B: Look Whos Talking Now Demo Finally Leaks in Full

STOP BREATHING: NEW (OLD) BRITNEY.

It’s been leaking in snippets and bits for weeks now, but alas–Britney‘s original demo for “Look Who’s Talking” has finally surfaced, thanks to the boys and girls (begging to If U Seek Amy) at BadMediaKarma!

The Bloodshy & Avant-produced, Godney co-penned track was first featured on K-Pop superstar BoA‘s 2009 self-titled US debut (as you all already knew because you read every single Daily B ever), and fans have long been waiting to hear B’s original demo.

Recorded around In The Zone and before the lost Original Doll sessions, “Look Who’s Talking Now” seemingly captures a sparkle of Rebellionney in the making: “Controversy is like a ticking time bomb/Controversy is what they want/You best believe that’s not what I spend my time on/Controversy is all they want,” B fiercely purrs during the middle eight. And those signature Britney riffs at the end? YUM!

She may not be releasing new music in ’12, but yet we’ve still got new Godney to celebrate…so let’s dance!

Think you got her figured out?
Well, look who’s talking now…it’s B!

022011 seoulbeats boabritney Daily B: A Snippet of Britneys Look Whos Talking Demo Leaks

God, I love it when two of my loves come together!

“Look Who’s Talking” is one of the tracks on K-Pop Queen BoA‘s 2009 self-titled debut English album. But as we knew from the album’s liner notes, the song was originally co-scribed by the Living Legend, the sensual seductress, the enchanting mistress: Miss Britney Spears.

According to BMI, “Look Who’s Talking” was originally recorded and registered by The Holy Spearit, Bloodshy & Avant and Michelle Bell.

Together, Bell and Brit Brit crafted several tracks for the ever-mysterious Original Doll sessions in 2005, right in between In The Zone and Blackout, including “Like I’m Fallin’” (BMI) and “Ouch” (BMI).

Now, a 30-second snippet of Britney’s original demo has leaked.

Look Who’s Talking Snippet by eyelovelefteye

How’s it sound? Good obviously–it features Godney’s flawless vocals! The song’s sort of like a pre-”Piece Of Me” taunt (a lil’ bit of “Rebellion” if you will), so it wouldn’t really suit Britney at this stage in her life. BUT…it’s a fun treat to hear nonetheless!

To celebrate this mash-up of BoA/Britney goodness, let us now remember the moment when the two met in person while Britney was promoting In The Zone in South Korea. My favorite moment? Probably when Britney figures out what to do with the hand muff BoA gifts her at around the 1:15 mark and the audience literally FREAKS THE FUCK OUT.

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Slayed back then, still slayed now. So cute/amazing/everything!

joeseenmore Joe Jonas to Premiere Debut Solo Single See No More on June 3

Joe Jonas–perhaps better known ’round these parts as my future husband (TO THE LEFT, JOE MCELDERRY*)–will be releasing “See No More,” the first single from his upcoming solo campaign, on June 3.

From the press release:

San Diego, CA — Joe Jonas will release his debut single as a solo artist, “See No More,” on June 3rd. The highly anticipated debut solo album on Hollywood Records will be in stores on September 6, 2011 and will feature production by Danja, Brian Kennedy and Rob Knox. “See No More” was co-written by Joe Jonas and Chris Brown and produced by Brian Kennedy. The song will be available digitally for sale on June 13th.

“Working on this album has been a rewarding but intense experience. ‘See No More’ especially carries a lot of personal emotions with it and I am hoping people listening to it will get a sense of where I’m coming from with this new sound,” says Joe Jonas. “I’ve had an awesome team working with me on the music and I am excited, anxious, but more importantly… ready… to share it all with my fans. It’s as much for them as it is for me.”

Brian Kennedy is responsible for producing some majorly MuuMuse Approved favorites, including Rihanna‘s “Disturbia” and “Fire Bomb,” Chris Brown‘s “Forever,” BoA‘s “Obsessed” and Jessica Mauboy’s “Saturday Night.”

“See No More” will premiere to radio on June 3, followed by a digital release on June 13. His debut solo album will be released on September 6.

After his album’s launch, Jonas will reportedly whisk me away to a castle in the countryside where we will eat Oreos together and pour boiling water on tweenage Jonas fan-girls attempting to breach the manor with pitchforks fashioned out of old issues of J-14.**

83f99aa5c77b417b88c04ed147f4edb0 2010072324 34 Girls On Top: BoA Returns to Korea with New Single, Game (Video Premiere)

BoA is back–and this time, she’s Korean!

As some of my Muusers may know, Korean superstar BoA has been working her way across various international markets over the past few years to achieve global success (read: WORLD DOMINATION), releasing several Japanese language albums and an English language debut in 2009.

However–at the risk of overgeneralizing–the bulk of BoA’s Japanese output for the past five years has been shit.

Sure, she’s managed to rack up a great deal of success in Japan, but the music has been little more than bland, radio-ready fluff that absolutely pales in comparison to the edgier tracks from her Korean releases, including My Name and Girls On Top.

Luckily, the wait is finally over. BoA’s gone back to Korea to celebrate her 10th anniversary in the music industry, and new music awaits!

This is “Game,” the first song to be released from BoA’s sixth studio album in Korea. The video was reportedly shot by “Toxic” mastermind Joseph Khan (UPDATE: Khan’s directing the album’s title track–this song’s just for the fans), and features the use of a very-nifty-though-not-entirely-necessary 360 degree camera. Work those angles, bitch!

As you can see, BoA’s cranked up the sass factor for her return home-bound, now cockier and more confident than ever. She’s really grown up since her latest release (see “Girls On Top” video), and it’s nice to see her having some fun. Would have loved some of her signature killer choreography, though…next time, I’m sure!

Song’s not too bad, either. There’s clearly some very slight Ke$ha-lite influence in the number (the Auto-tune, the electronics), but not enough to deem this nearly as grating as something like, oh…”Blah Blah Blah.”

According to BoA’a newly launched official website, the new album is entitled Hurricane Venus and is due for release on August 2. CANNOT WAIT.

In the meantime, check out my interview with BoA in March of last year while she was still promoting in America. Insane!

The video for Ciara‘s latest single, “Ride,” has arrived. The results? I’m not quite sure.

While I do love the actual song, I can’t help but feel a bit let down with this minimalist, oddly paced video. Blame it on my problematic relationship with anything directed by Diane Martel (Britney‘s “3,” the American version of BoA‘s “Eat You Up”), but I’m still not a fan of the director’s penchant for videos that revolve around awkward jump scenes, zero plot, and dull lighting.

Yes, I get it–it showcases her ‘stripped down’ dance moves. So what? She can do better, and with a video that didn’t share any similarities to Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies.”

I mean, you really can’t compare this to her best works to date. “Get Up”? “Work”? “Go Girl”?

Hardly in the same league.

Here is Christina Aguilera‘s new single, “Not Myself Tonight, produced by Polow Da Don.

Moments of Brilliance:
+ Ample amounts of panting, breathing, and sighing. (BRITNEY DID IT BETTER. JUST KIDDING BUT NOT ENTIRELY.)
+ “Is this me? You wanna get crazy? ‘Cause I don’t give a…” *YELP.*
+ It still sounds like BoA‘s “I Did It For Love.”
+ Something here also reminds me of Madonna, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s like a modern mix of something out of her Bedtime Stories sessions. Like an Orbital mix? I don’t know, maybe that’s just overly generous praise.
+ Probably quite nice played really loud.

However:
+ The verses are still a bit all over the place.

In conclusion, this song is basically amazing. I want to hear the uncensored version (if it exists)! Check above to hear the full, uncensored track.

If you don’t like it, fuck you.

christina aguilera bionic Bottle Action: Listen to a Snippet of Christina Aguileras Rowdy New Single, Not Myself Tonight

Way too much Christina happening on my site lately.

It appears that Clear Channel’s Iheartradio has scooped Christina’s own official website today by posting an exclusive clip of her new single, “Not Myself Tonight.”

EDIT: A slightly different snippet is now available on her official website now as well, and it features the hotly anticipated, uncensored uttering of “fuck you.” It does not, however, feature the fantastic ‘bottle breaking on the bar’ sound from the Iheartradio snippet (which now appears to be offline).

So far, the song sounds a lot like BoA‘s “I Did it for Love,” but a little less good.

Basically it’s ‘alright’ from what I can tell.

AVCD 38024 BoA Prepares Release of Seventh Japanese Album, Identity

Apparently, this is happening. I had no idea!

On February 10, BoA will be releasing her seventh Japanese studio album Identity, a release made all the more impressive considering she’s already done eight in Korea and one in America. You can now preview the tracks right here.

Truth be told, I couldn’t be bothered by most of her Japanese work. While I may love me some BoA, I find her Japanese albums to be overly formulaic, often filled with safe, uber-pop filler.

Now don’t quote me on this (or rather, go ahead–I’m writing this after all), but Identity sounds as though it could be an album I actually enjoy.

There are some funkier, glittery grooves that remind me of her Korean work (“LAZER”), as well as a few mid-tempo duds (“まもりたい ~White Wishes~”). All in all, this may be the first Japanese album to interest me since Outgrow.

Here now is the completely unannounced, rather exciting video for “Possibility,” a duet with Daichi Miura.

Judging by the new style and sound, it’s almost as though she’s aiming to become the Japanese Keri Hilson. I like, I like.
