According to news reports from X17Online, Britney has officially filed a restraining order against Adnan, paparazzo leech, with the help of money-grubbing enabler Sam Lutfi. TMZ posted a retort of sorts, claiming that Adnan contacted them personally and said that he was unaware of any such order, and that Britney has “been in the care of Sam” the entire time. Put it all together, and the situation slightly resembles some unholy war amongst the filth of the earth, with no clear winner in sight. Meanwhile, the world stands watching as a human being with no limitations or concerns continues to be dragged deeper into the world of exploitation and abuse.

I don’t know what to make of it anymore, besides the fact that there are three or four shady men, a barrage of paparazzo scumbags, befriending her and profiting off of every move she makes by signaling their respective photo agencies whenever they’re on the move. All while she’s completely and utterly broken inside. Almost certainly heading for disaster (as if we weren’t there already) in my opinion…

Today’s been marked as one of the most important court dates for Britney to attend in this entire custody case. As of right now (12:35 PM), Britney has not yet arrived at the courthouse. Kevin Federline and his attorneys are already there, as well as her lawyers. X17 is reporting that Britney is still at home. If she doesn’t show up, she will inevitably lose the rights permanently. EDIT 1: It is 3:28 PM, and Britney has yet to show at the courthouse. According to TMZ, the morning session proceeded without her, and a LAPD officer has already shared his testimony regarding her breakdown last week. Her lawyers claim that they hopeful for her presence during the afternoon session of the hearing, but I think everyone can agree, she most likely ain’t coming.

EDIT 2: Around 3:30 PM TMZ caught Britney’s arrival to the courthouse, expected to give her own testimony along with several others. The hearing is also expected to run into tomorrow.

It turns out Britney never entered the building. She told the paparazzi to back off, that she was scared, and then immediately turned around and booked it out of there. She was later seen praying at a church, and then going back home. Visitation rights are still denied, and it remains to be seen if she will ever have them back.

This is Britney, out shopping with user-paparazzo boyfriend, Adnan.

It’s more difficult than usual to watch this particular video, posted by Hollywood TV. Like most of their videos, Britney is scrutinized, screamed at, and followed throughout the day by roughly twenty or thirty photographers. Yet unlike most, she’s not basking in the attention this time. At all. In fact, by the four minute mark, she’s visibly upset and screaming at them to give her space. More unfortunately however, her pleas are made using her now signature British accent, making it even more clear that she is suffering from complete mental instability. It’s silly in some respects to hear her talk in this way, but the reality is frightening: It proves that she’s no longer switching out of character for fun; she has become this fantasized persona. We all know where this is heading, and it’s anywhere but up. I can’t say it enough: I know she’s not perfect, I know she’s merited some of the blame for this downfall…but we should not kick someone when they are unable to understand the difference between reality and fantasy right now. It’s not fair.

Not that I’m one to beat a dead performance, but new details have been revealed regarding the actual nature of the planned “Gimme More” performance, told by Criss Angel himself. It essentially involved Britney splitting into several Britneys, turning into birds, floating, and reappearing into the audience. Seems Ms. Thang didn’t want to rehearse. While this could be a ranting, raving bash-fest, criticizing her for being too lazy and unmotivated, I believe it would be rather tasteless considering the revelations regarding her mental health during this time. Instead, consider this post as closure to the question of what could have happened that night.

According to some especially juicy news from X17Online, Britney is confirmed to be on the cover of both Rolling Stone on Blender. Regarding the pictures, they had this to say:

Remember, people — a mag can do a cover on someone without doing a photo shoot with them. It remains to be seen whether Blender or Rolling Stone got new pix of Brit for their cover.

I bet they’re going to compile several paparazzi agency’s pictures and make some sort of a messy collage. Or they both use the CD cover picture that has been recycled about seventeen times in a row. :shudder:
