For any and all interested, there is a pianist on YouTube, txabialgorta, who plays Britney music, along with other pop acts, while listening to the original recording through an earpiece. It’s incredibly impressive, and made all the better by being Britney music. He’s essentially completed the tracks on Blackout, so I’ll post up a few here. Recommended listening for those days spent lounging by the pool, appletini in hand, watching the man-servants pull up the weeds around your spare yacht.
Click below for “Break The Ice,” “Heaven On Earth,” “Radar,” and “Piece Of Me” piano versions.
Visit his profile for even more, it’s great stuff.

Apparently, Piece of Me has been covered by most instruments in the world.
Oh my GOD, why haven’t I found this before? The first few seconds seemed goofy, and then he started singing. This is SUCH a good job!
It’s the cute boy who did one of the first “Gimme More” covers.
Well…I, okay.
I’m not sure what happened here, but I gave up after I heard “and with a can up my arm, seal an exceptional reunion.”
Oh dear…I’m not sure he understood the assignment. Or has ever heard the song.
And of course we have some interpretive dance. Choreographer for the VMA’s I think.
What have I learned? People are such media whores. And have a lot of trouble with the “pictures of my derriere” part.
And you, what do you think?
Looks like her family isn’t as disgusting as the media places them. I’m not making excuses or saying that this is the absolute truth, but the spokesperson for the family finally came to the media regarding the Dr. Phil showdown:
Spears family rep Lou Taylor told Meredith Vieira on the “Today” show that Dr. Phil actually broached the subject of doing a show about Britney, but that they nixed the idea, only to have Phil try to set up the show anyway. Taylor scorched Phil, saying it was even “inappropriate” for Phil to bring up doing a show, and that the family thought it would be detrimental to Britney.
What’s more, Taylor said that the family felt “betrayed” that Phil would issue any kind of statement after meeting with Brit, and that nobody had given him any authority to say anything, much less bellow on and on like he did.
EDIT: My bad, I didn’t realize that they contacted him in the first place. They’re still assholes as judged. Please proceed.

It’s nice to see that the tabloids are so up on their own information. Do they even see the videos that they upload? Entertainment Tonight reports that Britney spoke with a British accent at the hospital. Don’t get me wrong, she’s out of her mind alright, but she’s been doing it for weeks. In all of the paparazzi videos, she’s been speaking to the paparazzi with the accent, and asking the gas attendents if she could queue for the loo (I won’t lie, that phrase is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G). This ain’t anything new, quite unfortunately.

I know you’re tired of them, but I think I might have found a new favorite. The DaVinChe remix of Piece Of Me escapes the typical constraints of the remix…it slows up the beats rather than energizes. It’s a jazzed-up, glamorous hip-hop vibe which makes the song glisten and shine rather than layer upon the already beat-heavy backtrack.

Oh, and as for this one. Well…he’s back.
Yum?

Astoundingly, someone has finally decided to have some moral decency and not continue to sell Britney Spears further down the river. Professional asshat Dr. Phil has exclusively told Entertainment Tonight Online that he will not go forward with the Britney special:
“Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours.”
Now, if only her friends, family, and enablers followed suit. By the way, the official reports have come through, and she truly wasn’t on any drugs or alcohol. Now I’m not saying she’s completely innocent, but for God’s sake, when someone’s going through psychological distress, they can’t exactly make rational decisions to protect themselves now can they?
Oh, and she’s prancing around with the photographer somewhere in California. What did you expect? She’s surrounded by money-hungry assholes, each wanting her for various financial exploitations. Do you think she can see the difference between friend and foe anymore?
I miss my idol. That is all.

There are many great Piece of Me remixes out at the moment, but there’s only one that I still listen to constantly. Not really a remix…it’s called the “live” version. Made to sound like an actual performance, the song features a roaring crowd, extra sound effects, and live quality vocals. It was made by someone over at the Britney forums, but I forget who. I believe they ended up creating an entire tour around Blackout’s tracks. It truly sounds like she’s putting the song on live. It’s such a cool interpretation of the performance…there are “moments” where Britney is apparently doing something on stage. I love it so much. I don’t know if she’ll ever be on stage again, but it’s awesome to hear this and imagine what could be.
No, it’s not Blake Lewis’ new CD. Looks a lot like it though, doesn’t it?
This is Kaskade. He is currently promoting his fourth solo album release. His Wiki says that he is a Mormon DJ. I’m not sure if thats supposed to affect his beat making, but it sure hasn’t inhibited his selection of music to remix (Paris Hilton? Really?) You may have heard the name from the songs he’s remixed, including Britney’s “Gimme More” and Justin’s “LoveStoned.” But Kaskade has a solo career of his own dontchaknow, and it’s very nice. His album, Love Mysterious, is full of club-ready hits and bright electro-anthems. I’ve uploaded a few samples: He sounds a bit like Junkie XL lite with “The X,” an intergalactic, floating dance track, while the mood moves jazzy with “Distance.” “4 AM” is mesmerizing, like a track off of Goldfrapp’s Supernature.
“Be Still” is probably the strongest track, featuring guest vocals by a lady going by the name of Sunsun. The actual song goes back and forth from intimate guitar strumming to sweeping dance beats, but it’s the tender vocals floating above make it difficult to ignore and tempting to sing along with.

First of all, I’d just like to thank everybody who wished me a happy birthday! I spent the day in NYC, and I’m completely exhausted. It looks like it was a slow news day while I was gone. Well, except for Britney.
Though it should be expected by now, the three-ring circus that is Britney’s life
continued on in its usual bizarre fashion today. Earlier today, Britney was discharged from the hospital after only 36 hours. Whether that was the her own decision or that of the hospital is still unknown. More ridiculously, Oprah’s man-slave Dr. Phil paid Britney a visit for a little while as she packed to go home with her father. The good doctor also released a statement, confirming his belief that Britney is in need of psychological intervention. People Magazine also confirms that Dr. Phil advised Britney to stay at the hospital, and that leaving was one of “the worst decisions that could have been made.” Curiously, Dr. Phil just so happens to be shooting an episode on Monday devoted to Britney’s downfall. I can’t even recognize who’s selling out who anymore. Here’s hoping that Britney’s own father will have the ability to save her life…
On a brighter note, I pulled into the driveway tonight to find Ayumi Hamasaki’s new album, GUILTY, waiting for me the mailbox! I’ll write up a proper review tomorrow morning when I can think straight.
