christina aguilera bionic Bottle Action: Listen to a Snippet of Christina Aguileras Rowdy New Single, Not Myself Tonight

Way too much Christina happening on my site lately.

It appears that Clear Channel’s Iheartradio has scooped Christina’s own official website today by posting an exclusive clip of her new single, “Not Myself Tonight.”

EDIT: A slightly different snippet is now available on her official website now as well, and it features the hotly anticipated, uncensored uttering of “fuck you.” It does not, however, feature the fantastic ‘bottle breaking on the bar’ sound from the Iheartradio snippet (which now appears to be offline).

So far, the song sounds a lot like BoA‘s “I Did it for Love,” but a little less good.

Basically it’s ‘alright’ from what I can tell.

album art official1 Stripped: Christina Aguilera Reveals Bionic Album Cover, Release Date

On the third day of Christina-mas, her PR brought to me: one album cover, and a long winded press release.

The third countdown on her official site has ended, resulting in the cover to Christina Aguilera’s fourth studio album Bionic, as well as a release date: June 8.

From the press release:

Bionic features songs co-written by Aguilera along with her much buzzed about collaborations including Sia, Tricky Stewart, Polow Da Don, Le Tigre, Hill & Switch, and Ladytron among others. Aguilera notes, “Working on this album with so many talented artists and producers that I admire was really an amazing experience. The artists I chose to work with added so many unique sonic layers to Bionic. My intention was to step into their world and what they do combined with my own vision and sound. The results were magic.”

Blah, blah, blah…nothing we didn’t already know, and no new song titles.

There will also be a preview of her new single, “Not Myself Tonight,” posted on Friday, March 26.

christina hits The Words Within: Christina Aguileras Second Countdown Reveals Lyrics

The countdown on the official site is over for today…and it’s the lyrics to the new single:

You know tonight
I am feeling a little out control
is this me
you wanna get crazy
because I don’t give a…

1ST VERSE
I’m out of character
I’m in rare form
and If you really knew me
you’d know its not the norm

B SECTION:
Cause I’m doing things that I normally won’t do
the old me’s gone I feel brand new
and if you don’t like it fuck you

The music’s on and I’m dancing
I’m normally in the corner just standing
I’m feeling unusual
I don’t care cause this is my night

HOOK:
I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

2ND VERSE:
I’m dancing alot and I’m taking shots I’m feeling fine
I’m kissing all the boys and the girls
someone call the doctor cause I lost my mind

B SECTION:
Cause I’m doing things that I normally won’t do
the old me’s gone I feel brand new
and if you don’t like it fuck you

The music’s on and I’m dancing
I’m normally in the corner just standing
I’m feeling unusual
I don’t care cause this is my night

HOOK:
I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

BRIDGE:
In the morning
when I wake Up
I’ll go back to the girl I used to be
but baby not tonight

HOOK:
I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

I’m not myself tonight
tonight I’m not the same girl same girl

Yah, that feels good
I needed that
get crazy
let’s go
that’s right
come on
give it to me now, don’t stop

Modern poetry.

Does all the naughty taunting sound familiar? That might be because “Not Myself Tonight” was co-written by Ester Dean, one of the writers behind Rihanna‘s wonderfully dirrrty “Rude Boy.”

Tomorrow better reveal a song snippet or something.

Christina Aguilera Marie Claire February 2010 3 Glamaphonic, Electronic: Christina Aguileras New Single to be Unleashed Shortly

A glamorous little birdie tells me that Christina Aguilera‘s comeback single will be released to radio on March 30. Still no word on the final song decision, though all bets are on either “Glam” or “Bionic.”

Keep your eyes on her official website to hear the big news (and probably the song title) shortly!

The users/part-time sleuths over at ONTD have made what appears to be a rather compelling educated guess as to who’s behind the Iamamiwhoami campaign–and no, you probably haven’t heard of her.

It’s not Christina Aguilera. It’s not Karin Dreijer, and it’s not The Golden Filter–it’s Jonna Lee, a 29-year-old Swedish singer-songwriter.

Check out the ONTD post right now: the facial similarities; the voice; the teeth. There are certainly some strong similarities. But does it all add up?

The singer is due to perform at this year’s SXSW Festival. With the mystery woman’s face becoming more and more identifiable with each coming Iamamiwhoami video, does this mean that the campaign is winding down in time for her debut at the festival?

For more on Lee, click here to view her MySpace.

What do you think? Have the members of ONTD caught our nature nymph, Muusers?

I was missing my weekly Iamamiwhoami fix!

In the latest video upload by the viral video sensation simply entitled “b,” the mystery tree licking lady in question finds herself in an entirely new realm: at home, singing and playing some sort of electro-organ while decked out in a full body plastic suit.

As usual, her face is warped by some funky camera techniques, though we’re granted long enough shots of her face to get a gander like never before.

One thing seems clear enough: This is absolutely not Christina Aguilera, and it doesn’t quite seem to be The Knife‘s Karin Dreijer either.

At the end of the day, it looks like we may be looking at an entirely new artist–one that, with the help of some major media hype, will have paved themselves a debut like none before.

vanity fair april 1991 Scan10282 733x1024 Back Into the Groove: Madonna Preparing to Tour in 2011

I guess I missed this!

According to this brief interview at the end of January with Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet Tour drummer Brian Frasier, Madonna’s due on tour again for 2011.

“Just finished Madonna’s tour. I was out with her for a year and six months. Starting out with Christina in February, and then back to Madonna again at the top of 2011.”

I suppose she’s almost confirmed to be releasing an album later this year then, yes? Please God, let there be some divine intervention and allow for a sweeping change in direction toward boundary breaking adult pop.

On a side note, unless plans have changed with her focus on shooting Burlesque, this also semi-confirms that Christina’s ramping up for a tour to coincide with the release of her new album.

Here we go–it’s a new Iamamiwhoami video tucked away in my inbox this morning.

The title, “15.6.6.9.3.9.14.1.18.21.13.56155″ translates to “O.F.F.I.C.I.N.A.R.U.M.V.” The last number is a little fuzzy though…you could add that up in a bunch of different ways.

With a quick Google, “officinarum” can be found attached to the word “mandragora,” which just happened to be the same word spelled out in the last viral video. According to the plant’s Wiki page, the mandragora officinarum (or the mandrake) is a plant often used in medicine:

Mandrake has a long history of medicinal use, though superstition has played a large part in the uses it has been applied to. It is rarely prescribed in modern herbalism[238], though it contains hyoscine which is the standard pre-operative medication given to soothe patients and reduce bronchial secretions[244]. It is also used to treat travel sickness[244].

Good to know. Any more guesses as to who’s doing this? Doesn’t look like Christina to me, nor Boots.
