“Ooh La La,” Britney‘s contribution to the soundtrack of The Smurfs 2, has finally been leaked upon the Interwebz—on International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia no less, yet another milestone in Britney’s tireless career as a LGBT warrior—and the results are pure, summery Smurfish delight.

Songwriters, producers and artists were honored for their contributions to music over the past year at the SESAC Pop Awards ceremony at the New York Public Library tonight, including Miguel, Melanie Fiona…and Danja.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend the event, and so, attend I did.
I pride myself on owning almost every Brit Brit CD single, album and vinyl pressing from around the world, including the French-only CD single for “Anticipating” and the Japanese limited edition pressing of Greatest Hits: My Prerogative with the silver phone charm—all of which I intend to be buried with.
But here’s something I’ve never seen: A trading card included in a European edition of 1999′s …Baby One More Time, which Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum of Cherrytree Records graciously sent in last night.

The Legendary Miss Britney Spears‘ issue of Shape hasn’t hit shelves yet…except, uh, in Minnesota?
Earlier this week, Shape premiered the cover of their June issue featuring Brit Brit, as well as a few teases of the upcoming issue for Entertainment Tonight. But the issue is apparently being (accidentally?) sold in some places in America, and reader/Godney stan Miles D. has graciously sent over the full scans of the issue. (Thanks, bb!)
