If you can somehow find a minute in between the ceaseless repeat listening sessions of Kylie Minogue‘s Aphrodite this weekend (HOW COULD YOU?), take note: Other artists are still making music.

Take for instance one of my favorite DJ/House artists, Benny Benassi. His latest single, “Spaceship” features Kelis, the Black Eyed PeasApl.de.ap, and Jean Baptiste. It is very, very good, mainly as a result of Kelis’ repetitive chorus of “So get high. Get high. Get high.”

Above is the behind-the-scenes clip for the song’s video shoot. As you can tell, it will look quite spacey when all is said and done. Hooray for technology! The video will premiere on June 28 (Monday).

The upcoming “Spaceship” remix package will include mixes by Fedde Le Grand and EDX amongst others, but you can already purchase the single itself on iTunes now.

Thank you for your time. You may now return to “Cupid Boy.”

She said it could be paradise…and truly, it is!

Nadia Ali‘s latest single “Fantasy” has finally been unleashed on iTunes and Beatport, including remixes from EDX, Starkillers, and Tritonal. Click here to hear the EDK mix now, which was just uploaded on Ali’s official YouTube channel.

With “Fantasy,” Ali warns her lover-to-be that the timing’s just not right for something more to develop. A gorgeous, tragic tale, but such is the result when dealing in matters of the heart.

The song is just one of the many highlights off of her debut solo album Embers.

While we’re on the subject, have you read the MuuMuse interview with the singer? Well you damn well should.

Click here to preview and purchase all of the remixes on iTunes.

nadiainterview Interview with...Nadia Ali!

Nadia Ali is one of the greatest natural voices on the dance floor scene.

Formerly of Iio (“Rapture”, “Is It Love?), the singer has since embarked on her own successful career as a solo artist. After a series of songs recorded with artists including Rosko and Armin van Buuren, Ali finally unveiled her long-awaited debut album Embers in September of 2009.

A stunning collection of heavenly trance music and ambient sound, the album showcases both Ali’s unique vocal delivery and her knack for scribing deeply personal, sophisticated electronica, proving why she’s since become such an overwhelmingly admired, oft-requested collaborator for producers and artists alike.

Last Friday, I had the honor of speaking to Nadia as she prepared for a trip to Brazil. She was amazingly kind and as sweet as expected, and she provided a lot of thoughtful, in-depth responses to my questions. Instead of drafting up a short feature, I thought her fans would instead appreciate the full-on Q&A. Below is the entire transcript. I hope you all enjoy!
