Faith cover hi res George Michael: Faith (Album Giveaway)

Nearly 24 years ago, international pop icon George Michael released Faith.

The critically acclaimed album, which was almost entirely produced and arranged by George Michael himself, would go on to rest for 12 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 (and 87 weeks in total), receive a Diamond sales certification from the RIAA and win the Grammy for Best Album of the Year in 1989. Faith resulted in six Top 5 singles including “I Want Your Sex”, “Father Figure” and, of course, “Faith.”

On February 1, the singer issued a brand new re-mastering of his iconic 1987 release.

MuuMuse is proud to be giving away SIX COPIES of the 2011 double-disc re-release of Faith.

The 2-CD collection includes the entire re-mastered original album. as well as a second disc containing instrumentals, 7″ single edits and remixes.

To enter to win a copy, send me an e-mail with the subject line “MUUFAITH” or tweet me with the following phrase: “I want to have FAITH with @MuuMuse! #MuuFaith.”

Winners will be selected and notified on Thursday, February 17.

For more information on the album’s brand new re-release, check out George Michael’s official website.

Good luck–and never forget to keep the faith!

The 2009 Video Music Award nominees have been announced and nobody cares yet again. Well, except for one small detail.

Among the non-musical riff raff and general category fuckery (“Best Video That Should Have Won A Moonman” featuring nominees Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers and George Michael?), one heaven-sent ray of sunlight shines through: SEVEN nominations for Queen B, including Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Art Direction.

While I don’t think she’ll take the grand prize (look for our other Queen B, Beysus to snag that one), she’s bound to win a few–especially the ones with “Circus” as a nominee.

Oh yeah, and don’t count on an appearance this year kiddos–she’s going to be touring in between the show’s air date. Then again, there is a brief two or three day break in between…oh, who are we kidding? She isn’t going to perform.

Though she should.
