The official line-up for the 2012 Coachella Festival–a strange world where hipsters, hip-hop enthusiasts, ravers and wandering Burning Man attendees, join for one magical celebration–has just been announced.

The two week line-up includes some majorly MuuMuse Approved acts, including Swedish House Mafia, Florence + The Machine, Avicii, Morgan Page, M83, Kaskade, Afrojack, Miike Snow, Santigold and many, many more.

Will you be heading to Coachella Valley for this year’s festival? Who knows…I just may show up twirling in the crowd!

Unless you’ve been living under a Sweden-sized rock, you’d know that Robyn has just released her latest single from Body Talk this week in the US: “Call Your Girlfriend.”

The remix bundle, which was released on iTunes this week, includes a slew of fabulous mixes like the Kaskade mix and the dubstep-tastic Feed Me remix.

But my favorite of the bunch by far is the Sultan & Ned Shepard remix, which incorporates new spacey blips and bleeps, crashing drums and an utterly filthy, Girls Aloud-esque guitar strum that makes the Swedish chanteuse’s sugary proposition sound much more rowdy. My sugar is RAW!

The beat is so unforgivably bangin’, it’ll have him ditching his old chick in no time!

As my Muusers may already know, I’m a massive fan of both Kaskade and his side outfit, Late Night Alumni. Lush dream-pop? Always and forever, please!

Today the band released “It’s Not Happening,” the lead single from their third studio album Haunted, which is due out on February 8. (LISTEN)

While the song’s skittering trip-hop beat is slightly more uptempo than the band’s usual output, the warm, setting sun electronica wisps and hazy blips of electronica recall the classic work of Late Night Alumni. “It’s Not Happening” is an invigorating groove, fit to set the mood at the swankiest of lounges or that trendy French bistro downtown.

Along with the original, the single’s release also comes bundled on iTunes with a remix by Kaskade, which takes the original and adds a jagged, progressive house beat on top. “It’s not happening, it’s not happening,” Becky Jean Williams sugary-sweet voice echoes on repeat above a steadily climbing beat.

But by the time the beat crashes at 3 minutes in, you’ll know quite well: It’s happening, indeed.

As you all must know by now, Kaskade has just digitally unleashed his sixth studio album, Dynasty (with a physical release to follow on May 11).

Kaskade is releasing his sixth studio album, Dynasty, on April 27 on iTunes (May 11 everywhere else).

The first single from the album will be “Dynasty,” featuring Haley (who’s previously sung on such MuuMuse favorites as “Move For Me” and “I Remember.”) And now, the song:

There we go. As you can hear, it’s still Kaskade at his best, featuring classic beats and waves of emotion. He continues to do no wrong in my eyes.

It’s time to get transitive up in this bitch.

I love Kaskade. Kaskade is a member of Late Night Alumni. Therefore, I love me some Late Night Alumni.

But Kaskade or otherwise, I’ve always adored this group. Composed of lead singer Becky Jean Williams, Finn Bjarnson, John Hancock, and Ryan Raddon (Kaskade), Late Night Alumni is a stunning dreamy dance-pop outfit responsible for some the lushest, heaven-sent soundscapes I’ve ever heard (as well as the soundtrack to countless makeup tutorials by Michelle Phan–love her so hard!)

The group’s latest album, Of Birds, Bees, Butterflies, etc., was released digitally in November of last year. However, the physical release just happened on February 2.

Lady Gaga‘s “Bad Romance” Remix EP hit iTunes yesterday, including four mixes from Chew Fu, Kaskade, Bimbo Jones, and Skrillex–all of which you can hear at Lala. (I’m loving that site lately!)

My recommendation? Hit the Chew Fu H1N1 Fix first, and let your “free bitch” freak flag fly.

While driving to pick up a friend from the train station last night, I suddenly realized that it was dark, it was snowing, and that I was sort of lost.

So, instead of doing the sensible thing (pulling over and sorting out my GPS), I decided to pop in Kaskade‘s The Om Remixes instead, a remix compilation sent to me by Om Records a few months ago when Kaskade was building up press for his equally immense compilation album that I also wrote about earlier this year, The Grand.

It was clearly the better option of the two.

The Om Remixes are a solid set of throbbing house mixes of underground dance artists, including Colette, Rithma, Naked Music NYC, and Afro Mystik. Alternating between disco bass lines, tribal beats and super lush, chill-out grooves that only Kaskade could provide, the album is a solid representation of the DJ’s abilities and a superb addition to his praiseworthy back catalog.

So please, do yourselves a favor and get it while you can…You never know when you’ll need the perfect escape.
