Madonna‘s clearly in the full swing of things with the promotion for her new album, Hard Candy. To the left is one of the pictures from her spread in Vanity Fair. Click on read more to see some additional scans from the magazine. I love the look of this particular photo shoot, as bend-and-crotch friendly as it may be. She also did a story for Elle, and the cover is right here:

Drowned Madonna has also posted a bunch of new stills from the upcoming video for “4 Minutes”, so click here to see them. It appears that there will be some sort of sassy dance off with Justin in front of a giant digital clock, as well as some clothing and skin removal. A bit Robbie Williams of her…Oh, and she looks very 2002 “Music” here. Most importantly from all of the leaked screen captures, the appearance of those hot tranny mess shoes from the single cover:
EDIT: The screen captures are simply pouring in now…it’s only a matter of time before the full video leaks. Head on over to MadonnaTribe’s exclusive display of caps right here, featuring a very exposed Justin Timberlake:
Put some Neosporin on it love, you’re going to get a nasty case of gangrene.

A-ha! The first official remix of Madonna‘s “4 Minutes” is now out from one of my favorite remixers, Junkie XL! It’s a very slow grow, so allow it to build. But once it does, you’ll notice how superior it becomes to its predecessor. The drawback is that the song isn’t really featured here, and the track could as well just be a dub. It’s not, this is just how he chose to remix. But it’s okay…notice how much better the song sounds when her vocals are placed on Junkie’s driven beats. She may be trying to bring it street style, but she’ll always find refuge in the dancefloor. You can’t escape, M-Dolla! You can check out the dub version at his MySpace.

Album promo is so damn delicious. Check out this exclusive teaser from the track-by-track review of Madonna‘s new album Hard Candy inside of the newest issue of Attitude, which will be out on the 31st. Click “read more” to see what fashion director Luke Day and Associate Editor Matthew Todd have to say about the songs they’ve heard so far. Looks like there’s some seriously sugar coated beats in the mix. I can’t wait!
Additionally, it’s been revealed that Peter Rauhofer‘s done a mix of “4 Minutes”, which will undoubtedly be dark and booming.
MILES AWAY
L: Absolutely genius. Got to be huge. It’s got the great hand-clapping bit in the middle but it’s not a stomper.
M: Sort of delicate… picks you up and wafts you away on a pillow of windswept tears. (laughter) ’Were always at our best when we’re miles away’.
L: So far away…
M: So far away…
L: Let’s cry now. You would not be able to not clap along to this in a concert. Unexpectedly warming…
M: …which is a very Madonna thing to do. It sounds resigned. It makes you want to have a boyfriend so you can reject him so you can sing this song. (Cackle).
SHE’S NOT ME
L: J’adore this! I’m better than the competition. It’s so drag.
M: Is this the campest thing she’s ever done? ’She’s started dressing like me, talking like me and freakin’ me out. She started reading my books and stealing my looks and lingerie, what’s that about?’.
L: (Laughs) I want to dance to this now.
M: It reminds me of Thief of Hearts.
L: Disco funk. And there’s football whistles.
M: And double hand claps.
L: Any song where she repeats a word three times – like ’she was stealing, stealing, stealing’ gets me.
BEAT GOES ON
L: This is unrecognisable from the leak! It’s one of the highlights. Total 80s disco. Xylophones, full on synths. Sort of thing you’d hear at Horse Meat Disco, an ’everybody get up and dance’ record.
M: Very 80s but not in a modern electro pop way. You think you’re listening to a Shalamar record and then Kanye West comes in.
L: It’s got a Taana Gardner feel to it.
M: It’s the point where she turns on the fun turbo boosters. This is the Candy. It’s too too good…
L: LOVE. IT. Especially Pharrell’s Beep, beeps.
M: It’s gonna be played in every disco in the world for 12 – 200 year olds. Could be an instant classic.
Don’t forget ladies and gents, “4 Minutes” is officially available from all online retailers starting today! Let’s continue to support Madonna, despite her deviance from excellence! Pre-order the single from iTunes here, and the full album Hard Candy here for an exclusive bonus track, “Ring My Bell”. I hope it’s a trippy electro cover of this:

Welcome back, Muusers. I’ve returned with a slew of nothing, wrapped up and presented as something wonderful!
+ For starters, I present an official remix of Goldfrapp‘s trip-tastic “Happiness”, created by Metronomy and featuring The Teenagers! It’s all shades of disjointed, and inspires some general confusion…I don’t like it. Anyway, you can download it below.
+ According to compiled reports, Majustimbalake‘s “4 Minutes” will be treated to a buttload of remixed formats, including mixes by Tracey Young and, my personal favorite, Junkie XL. Additionally, the song is now impacting all radio stations around the world, so do yourselves a favor and request it. Yeah, it’s not that great, but…you know. It’s Madonna, etc. etc. And you know the public will eat up the Timbaland production.
+ Félicitations to my favorite fivesome of skinny-britch-wearing bitches this side of the 1990′s, Girls Aloud, for securing yet another top ten charter with “Can’t Speak French”! This makes their eighteenth consecutive top ten hit since their debut! Est un jour fier.
+ I got a big package in the mail today–Utada‘s new album, spiffied up with a giant glossy poster of her face!! It was a wonderful surprise that I completely expected to arrive today. Expect an official album review tonight for the already deemed perfect new album, Heart Station.
+ And don’t forget to watch Britney on How I Met Your Mother on CBS at 8:30 in the P.M. tonight. Your body will thank you for it.

It’s just not funny anymore. My humorous little “hypothesis” has gone from being a silly observation to stone cold fact. I fear I’ve jinxed the album cover process forever!
Pop Divas + Bad Font = Album Covers.
Case in point, hereby solidifying my thought into Law:
Don’t you ladies see?! You’re taking proper photographs and all…now decorate them conservatively! Wipe off those gradient effects, center your fonts to the left or right, and keep the focus on YOU…COME ON NOW.
Let’s tally it all up so far:

It’s a disease, friends, and we need to work together to undo the carnage. Let us band together and bow our heads in mourning of these truly trying times and keep our spirits high.
*Please do not allow the title of “pop diva” be tarnished with the mention of Ms. Simpson. She is by no means an actual “pop diva.” Her album’s inclusion is for emphasis only.
What? A clash of my two interests you say? Gay icons and Japanese Pop? Why, tell me more, computer man! Yes, it’s true. Madonna premiered a snippet of her now-deemed brilliant “Miles Away” on Japanese television tonight, and it sounds miles away from the shit that is “Candy Shop” and “4 Minutes”. Very lush stuff. Hopeful yet, perhaps?
