010 Queen Cassie Featured on New DJ Komori Single in Japan, Sound of Love

STOP. BREATHING.

DJ Komori – Sound of Love (feat. Cassie)

Yes, it’s true: A new Cassie song has just come into existence: “Sound Of Love,” released today on iTunes Japan.

Produced by Japanese DJ/producer DJ Komori, “Sound Of Love” is one of Cassie’s most sparkling, bubbly pop-filled offerings to date, reminiscent of fellow R&B songstress Mya‘s über-kawaii Japanese single released in January: “Fabulous Life.” (In fact, DJ Komori also produced Mya’s “Alive,” another one of Mya’s Japanese singles released in September of 2010.)

“Boy, you make my heart bah-dum-bah-bum, bah-dum-bah-bum,” Cassie sweetly croons above hazy, summery synthesizers and joyous electro beats, not unlike the chorus of Nicki Minaj‘s radio smash, “Superbass.”

Sure, “Sound of Love” isn’t quite the slick, icy electro-R&B that we’re used to Miss Ventura serving us on the regular, but it’s still a delightfully infectious, super cute pop number by one of the baddest pop princesses in the game.

Dance the night away!

IMG 3859re Mya Set to Dominate the Dance Floor with Cedric Gervais on Love Is The Answer

Only a few short weeks after the release of her euphoric, glittering single in Japan, “Fabulous Life,” (which is still being played on repeat daily here at MuuMuse!), Mya has now set her sights stateside with the release of her brand new collaboration: “Love Is The Answer,” produced by US producer/DJ and Ultra Records artist, Cedric Gervais.

Just in time to join in the recent wave of “It Gets Better” pop anthems igniting both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Club/Dance Play Charts (“Firework,” “We R Who We R,” “Raise Your Glass”), Mya’s long awaited trek onto the dance floor finds the R&B singer-turned-disco diva urging us all to let go and love a little.

“Love is the answer to all our problems / With a simple word, we’re gonna solve them!” Mya cries out on the motivational dance floor banger, which was inspired by Adam Bouska‘s NO H8 campaign.

The single also comes bundled with a slew of remixes by the likes of DJ Ortzy and Mark M, Mysto & Pizzi, Sebjak and Second Sun.

Loving Mya’s new sound? Well, good! According to the singer, this is “just the first taste of many Cedric/Mya collaborations” according to a quote featured on Gervais’ official website. This is only the beginning!

Now, please check out a free taste of “Love Is The Answer (Radio Edit),” as well as the amazing Sebjax mix.

5. Koda Kumi – POP DIVA
J-Pop temptress Koda Kumi’s gone bolder than ever on her 49th single! “POP DIVA” is a brag-filled outburst of pounding beats and wild screeches that rides atop a stinging bass-line similar to the Far East Movement’s “Like A G6.” It’s noisy, it’s erratic–but ultimately, it’s utterly Kumi. (LISTEN)

4. Adam Tyler – I Won’t Let You Go
Up-and-coming L.A. musician Adam Tyler returns with his second single–a gorgeous, heartbreaking electro-pop scorcher that builds and builds with intensity as the song progresses. One to watch in 2011! (LISTEN)

3. Jennifer Lopez – On The Floor (feat. Pitbull)
Kicking off her latest stint as a judge on American Idol’s tenth season, J-Lo premiered the first single from her upcoming album, LOVE?, to radio this week. The spicy songstress enlisted Gaga hit-maker RedOne to produce this floor filler, which capitalizes on all the popular club sounds of late, including the European pulsations of Yolanda Be Cool’s “We No Speako Americano” and Edward Maya’s “Stereo Love.” It’s no “Waiting For Tonight,” but it’s still a proper call to arms. Take it on the floor! (LISTEN)

2. Mya – Fabulous Life
The time is now! Mya seizes the day in this glittery, gleeful electro-pop confection co-produced by J-Pop mastermind Jeff Miyahara and Swedish sensation, Fredro. While this pop treat may only be released in Japan, “Fabulous Life” packs more than enough sparkle and shines to provide universal appeal. (LISTEN)

1. Neon Hitch – Get Over U
You haven’t even debuted yet, and you’re already making me cry at the discotheque? Of all the bad girls, you’re badder than most, Neon Hitch. With sad, stomping synthesizers ourtesy of Benny Blanco and a sorrowful vocal melody contributed by co-writer Sia, “Get Over U” plays like a 2011 continuation of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” proving that the upcoming debut by this whimsical pop gypsy is definitely worth waiting for. mya2 Mya Prepares to Conquer Japan and America with Two New Dance Singles: Fabulous Life and Love Is The Answer

Mya‘s back!

Much like every other act this side of the ’10′s, Mya’s gone and shed her R&B roots in favor of a good ol’ synth machine to assist in her dance-inspired return to the music scene–perhaps inspired by her recent stint on the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars. Well…that, or she’s gone and listened to Pop radio for, like, fifteen minutes to see what the kids are listening to these days.

To my giddy delight, the singer will attempt to break two major territories at the same time: America and…Japan! Eee! DID SOMEONE SAY J-POP? ^.^ (Oh God. I’m sorry for that.)

After the release of her first Japanese album in 2008 (Sugar & Spice), Mya is now continuing to pursue a Japanese recording career with “Fabulous Life,” released on January 19 on iTunes Japan.

As The Prophet Blog reported, the song was co-produced by Jeff Miyahara, producer of such gems as AI‘s “Fake (feat. Namie Amuro)” and Crystal Kay‘s “One.” It was also co-produced by Fredro, the Swedish producer responsible for one of my favorite tracks from Jessica Mauboy‘s latest album.

“Fabulous Life” is genuinely adorable–a clearly J-Pop inspired, glittery little electro-pop ditty. It’s like Britney‘s “Anticipating”! Except more Japanese and stuff. I LOVE to bits and pieces!

If it were warmer ’round these parts, you know I’d be blasting this jam with the windows down while I was driving around town. For now, I guess I’ll just listen to it while I’m shoveling.

The second single in question–the Cedric Gervais-produced “Love Is The Answer”–is Mya’s offering for the North American territories.

A bit RuPaul, a dash of Donna Summer circa 2008 (Crayons, y’all!), Mya’s other offering blares into the speakers with an onslaught of ravey, hi-octane synthesizers a la Madonna‘s “Celebration.” “Love is the answer to all your problems,” the singer sweetly croons atop the hectic chorus. It’s no “My Love Is Like…Wo,” and certainly no “Case of the Ex,” but it’ll do for now.

Click here to listen to an extended preview of “Love Is The Answer,” courtesy of E! Online.

According to the E! article, Mya is currently working on both her seventh and eighth studio albums. We here at MuuMuse can’t wait to hear ‘em–especially that J-Pop record. Sock it to me!
