Screen Shot 2012 05 16 at 7.42.54 PM Coco Morier: Ambulance (Video Premiere)

You already know coco morier, but perhaps by a different name: She’s Nicole Morier, the talented Electrocute singer-songwriter who co-penned Britney‘s “How I Roll” and “Trip To My Heart,” Sky Ferreira‘s “99 Tears” and Selena Gomez‘s “Whiplash,” amongst dozens of other pop gems. Lately, she’s been doing her own thing.

After launching collaborative record label INGRID back in April along with Miike Snow, Peter, Bjorn & John, Lykke Li and several other Swedish talents, morier has just premiered the video for her completely genius single “Ambulance,” which was co-scribed by Sky Ferreira and Miike Snow.

The clip follows a sullen girl as she wanders through a state of dreaming, popping pills, gorging on food late at night (too real) and experiencing weird, glittery hallucinations. It’s like a cross between The Virgin Suicides, Valley of the Dolls, Girl Interrupted and a Surrealist film festival, resulting in something as otherworldly and morbid as the song itself (if that doesn’t sound like a compliment, it is.) Also, I have a feeling Marina And The Diamonds would totally dig this.

Dig it too? Good. It’s just a taste of what’s to come from morier’s debut Strangers May Kiss, due out June 19 on INGRID.

madonna sorry video set 0001 Listen Now: Madonnas Give Me All Your Love Demo Has Leaked

L-U-V MADONNA! Y-O-U, YOU WANNA?

The full demo for Madonna‘s upcoming single “Give Me All Your Love” has just leaked.

And guess what? I STILL LOVE IT!

As I said when the first snippets premiered this morning, the song shares definite similarities with the bouncy ’60′s-tinged space-pop Nicole Morier penned for Britney (“Rock Me In,” “Mmm Papi”), as well as the dizzying delight of Madge’s 1999 single, “Beautiful Stranger.”

That chorus is truly one massive ear-worm. Oh, and that dubstep-laden middle eight?! PERFECTION!

While I was more than a little concerned about those lyrics on paper–err, Internet, they totally work here–even that chant! L-U-V! Madonna!

And yes, I know the lyrics are still pretty silly (note: silly, not desperate), but they bring an old school Madge to mind–a fun pop star. While I L-I-V-E for Erotica/Ray Of Light-era Madonna as much as the next stan, I love me some celebratory Madonna-era Madonna all the same. I mean, hello–there’s even a “Lucky Star” reference!

“Give Me All Your Love” may not exactly be a game-changer, it’s still a refreshing turn from the sweat soaked Taio Cruz/David Guetta/LMFAO club-pop dominating Top 40 radio today (which isn’t to shade the genre–well, LMFAO can be shaded–but let’s face it, we could use a little break.)

It’s fun. It’s fresh. It’s a thoroughly modern Madonna…and all without trying too hard! Yay!

While I know not everyone will be pleased (for you, there’s a GIF) I think I can speak for a lot of anxious Madonna fans like myself when I say (after a long sigh):

THIS IS SUCH A FUCKING RELIEF!

QUEEN OF POP REMAINS QUEEN OF POP.

madonna beautiful stranger video cap 0029 Listen to the First Leaked Clips of Madonnas New Single, Give Me All Your Love

STOP EVERYTHING IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE BECAUSE LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

In the grand tradition of all of Madonna‘s lead singles, the leaks have officially begun. (!!!!!!)

Below are the first two MQ/LQ clips from Madonna‘s upcoming Martin Solveig-produced single, “Give Me All Your Love,” courtesy of my besties at Hard Candy Music. And just as fans suspected from the recordings outside her London home from July, this is indeed one and the same song!

So how is it? Well, I love it so far! The beat reminds me of “Beautiful Stranger” with its swinging ’60′s appeal, or even some of Britney‘s bouncy space-pop with Nicole Morier (“Rock Me In”, “Mmm Papi”). I majorly approve!

I already feel a zillion times better than when I heard “Candy Shop” for the first time. (GULP!) It’s more in her element, it’s more appropriate, and most excitingly of all, it isn’t a sound on the radio right now.

Now come on and bring us the full song already, Madge!

Madonna’s began recording for her upcoming twelfth studio album on July 4. According to producer William Orbit, the final record will be mastered at the end of this month.

SelenaGomez2011Wallpapers MuuMuse Approved: Selegenda Gomez Shines on Britney Co Penned Album Track, Whiplash

STOP. LIFE.

Can you hear that? Yes, Muusers: It’s the sound of the Holy Spearit flowing through your speakers.

“Whiplash” is the latest leak from Selegenda Gomezmerizing‘s upcoming studio album When The Sun Goes Down, produced by bouncy-pop maestro Greg Kurstin and co-penned by Electrocute‘s Nicole Morier (“Heaven On Earth,” “Mmm Papi”) and the living legend herself, Godney Spears.

The song is essentially what would happen if Rachel Stevens were to make her grand return in 2011, hovering somewhere in between the brilliant electro-glitter of “Some Girls” and “Waiting Game.” It’s fucking fantastic: It’s got a real gritty, sauntering beat, spacey synthesizers and even includes spoken word bridges done in a British accent…and you just KNOW Britney came up with that shit.

STUCK. ON. REPEAT. Come on and take me to the other side!

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY SELEGENDA.

When The Sun Goes Down will be released on June 28. (iTunes)

Femme Fatale britney spears 19519013 500 500 Britney Spears: Femme Fatale (Album Review)

To review a new Britney Spears record, for me, is a bit like asking a crazed pageant mother if she believes her daughter is a star.

Sure, she might have spilled apple juice (or Cheetos, more fittingly) all over her glitz costume, forgotten the steps to her baton routine halfway through the performance and fallen asleep onstage, but in the end, she’s still Miss Grand Supreme in my eyes.

This is what journalists often refer to as “full disclosure.” With all that being said…let’s do this.

If I said my heart was beating loud…

25842 It Got Better: Wynter Gordon Slays the Gays with Putting It Out There (Pride)

It’s no secret that we go hard for Wynter Gordon around these parts.

The club diva’s very long overdue debut LP is guaranteed to be the highlight of our life, but as we bide our time until its eventual release, Wynnie’s been satiating the fans with a string of massive dancefloor anthems.

Risqué smash “Dirty Talk,” co-penned by Wynter herself and frequent Britney collaborator Nicole Morier, deservedly topped the dance charts in the States before skyrocketing to #1 on the ARIA charts in Australia; then, Wynter teamed up with house kings Freemasons for last summer’s euphoric “Believer”; and now, she’s back in rare form with “Putting It Out There (Pride),” a dazzling entry into the rapidly proliferating genre of “It Gets Better”-pop that’s certain to reinforce her nascent fame down under.

“Putting It Out There (Pride)” was first leaked several months back under the even more literal title “Pride (It Gets Better),” but this finished version has been expertly retooled. Sparklier synths, driving bass, and a heart-stopping middle 8 complete with handclaps (yes, handclaps) complement Wynter’s gospel-trained voice, while lyrically, a clear message of inclusivity and personal empowerment nicely aligns “Putting It Out There (Pride)” with “We R Who We R,” “Firework,” and, of course, “Born This Way.”

The track is serving as the official song of the upcoming 2011 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, the largest gay pride festival in the world, which should only cement Wynter’s status as a gay icon — and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.

“Putting It Out There (Pride)” was released on March 4 in Australia. (iTunes Australia)

The thing is I don’t know when to shut my mouth. That’ the problem.

Sky Ferreira is an ‘it’ girl.

Immortalized by the industry’s top photographers (Rankin, for instance, took the snapshot above), suited and styled by the most desirable modern couturiers, and produced by arguably the biggest names in the music industry, the 18-year-old Los Angeles native has certainly made a name for herself far before ever…well, making a name for herself. Yet.

After sending out a MySpace message to Swedish power pop producers Bloodshy & Avant back in 2006 begging for a collaboration and armed with nothing but a few raw demos, the singer was stunned when she received an answer back inviting her to come record with the duo. Suddenly she was off to Stockholm, and so began her formal endeavor into the industry.

With her first single already making waves in the UK–the infectious, stuttering electro-pop smash, “One”–as well as an upcoming Ryan Tedder-produced single due out in the US later this summer (“Obsession”), Ferreira is now heading full steam toward her long-awaited debut record, currently slated for release in January. (Click here to hear a 30-second sample of the song now!)

I got the chance to speak to the rising starlet last week during her promotional spin around Londontown. Barring an impromptu (albeit hilarious) cameo by PopJustice and more than a few Britney related questions on my end, Ferreira had lots to say about her music, the industry, and the culture of leaks (of the musical variety). Oh yes, and I asked how she gets her hair so nice.

wyntergordoninterview Shes No Angel: Interview with...Wynter Gordon!

People steal your music and post it online after working for days to record and write a song. It sucks.

As anyone who’s been reading MuuMuse knows by now, Wynter Gordon is one of the most anticipated artists on the brink of breaking out onto the music scene.

As a songwriter, she’s already worked to pen tracks for artists like Jennifer Lopez (“What is Love?”), Mary J. Blige (“Gonna Breakthrough”), and Danity Kane (“Two of You”). As an artist, she’s been featured on David Guetta‘s sensational “Toyfriend” and Flo Rida‘s summer smash of 2009, “Sugar.”

Currently however, the singer is preparing the release of her own debut album, which will (hopefully) see the light of day later this year. Her debut single from the collection, “Dirty Talk,” is a filthy, speaker-throbbing affair that’s already won the hearts of plenty of muusers here at MuuMuse.

Last week, I got the opportunity to chat with the rising star a few days ago. Check out what she had to say below!
