310291 Release of the Day: Nicole Scherzinger Right There (feat. 50 Cent)

If it doesn’t work the first time, try, try again.

Nicole Schnitzelwinger has just released “Right There (feat. 50 Cent)” to iTunes today, the lead single from her forthcoming solo debut, Killer Love, due out on August 16 in the US. (The album is already available overseas, which includes the objectively amazing “Don’t Hold Your Breath.”)

“Right There (feat. 50 Cent)” is an amazing knock-off of Rihanna‘s “What’s My Name?” as I’ve noted before, except for the whole “(feat. 50 Cent)” part. The video similarly follows suit.

The former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman will be appearing on Thursday’s American Idol to perform “Right There”–along with 50 Cent. (Sorry, world.)

We should all support Scherzy Baby in her effort to re-ignite the American market. She did, after all, give us “Whatever U Like.”

“Right There (feat. 50 Cent)” was released on May 17. (iTunes)

joeseenmore Joe Jonas to Premiere Debut Solo Single See No More on June 3

Joe Jonas–perhaps better known ’round these parts as my future husband (TO THE LEFT, JOE MCELDERRY*)–will be releasing “See No More,” the first single from his upcoming solo campaign, on June 3.

From the press release:

San Diego, CA — Joe Jonas will release his debut single as a solo artist, “See No More,” on June 3rd. The highly anticipated debut solo album on Hollywood Records will be in stores on September 6, 2011 and will feature production by Danja, Brian Kennedy and Rob Knox. “See No More” was co-written by Joe Jonas and Chris Brown and produced by Brian Kennedy. The song will be available digitally for sale on June 13th.

“Working on this album has been a rewarding but intense experience. ‘See No More’ especially carries a lot of personal emotions with it and I am hoping people listening to it will get a sense of where I’m coming from with this new sound,” says Joe Jonas. “I’ve had an awesome team working with me on the music and I am excited, anxious, but more importantly… ready… to share it all with my fans. It’s as much for them as it is for me.”

Brian Kennedy is responsible for producing some majorly MuuMuse Approved favorites, including Rihanna‘s “Disturbia” and “Fire Bomb,” Chris Brown‘s “Forever,” BoA‘s “Obsessed” and Jessica Mauboy’s “Saturday Night.”

“See No More” will premiere to radio on June 3, followed by a digital release on June 13. His debut solo album will be released on September 6.

After his album’s launch, Jonas will reportedly whisk me away to a castle in the countryside where we will eat Oreos together and pour boiling water on tweenage Jonas fan-girls attempting to breach the manor with pitchforks fashioned out of old issues of J-14.**

296066294 Rihanna Unveils Man Down Single Cover, Continues World Domination

Rum, pum pum pum

Princess RiRi took to Twitter earlier this morning to unveil the cover art for “Man Down,” the fifth single off of the Bajan beauty’s 2010 album, LOUD. The song will be released in conjunction with the sixth single from the album, “California King Bed.”

The pop princess shot the video for “Man Down” in Jamaica only one week ago with longtime collaborator Anthony Mandler, responsible for such perfection as “Disturbia,” “Only Girl (In The World),” and the stunningly gorgeous “California King Bed,” which premiered earlier this week.

Rihanna Reign Check: Not letting up.

BOW THE FUCK DOWN.

The video for Rihanna‘s new single “California King Bed” has just premiered on VEVO, shot by Ri’s faithful director and constant collaborator, Anthony Mandler (“Disturbia,” “Russian Roulette,” “Only Girl (In The World)”).

The video is absolutely stunning in every single way: It’s the most fitting visual representation of the song, and there is quite literally nothing wrong with it. Every. Still. Is. Perfection.

To tell the truth, I was so lost in this video while watching for the first time, I was nearly brought to tears. That is, until I remembered that she greeted the male model for this video with “Hi, I’m Rihanna. Nice to meet you. No boners.”

God, I love this flawless bitch.

THAT RIHANNA REIGN JUST WON’T LET UP!

PS: Did anyone else get a touch of Britney‘s “Born To Make You Happy” video here, what with all the billowing curtains and bedroom nuzzling? RiRi/BritBrit 4 Lyfe!

00 jennifer lopez love 2011 Jennifer Lopez: LOVE? (Album Review)

When Jennifer Lopez‘s “Louboutins”–an ode to the couture cobbler–was released to a less-than-tepid response in the last week of 2009, Lopez seemingly began to struggle to find her footing in the market (excuse the pun), eventually taking a leave from her longtime label Epic Records in 2010.

Yet only weeks after the announcement made the rounds, J-Lo was already busy inking a new record deal with Island Def Jam and preparing to fulfill her duties as a full-time judge on the tenth season of American Idol.

Only one year later, Lopez suddenly came roaring back onto the charts in the beginning of 2011 with the release of her first actual single from Love?: “On The Floor (feat. Pitbull),” a surprise smash hit for the singer that skyrocketed to #1 in over 19 countries (and counting!)

Now–after a few false starts, a label switch, and the birth of her twins Max and Emme comes LOVE?, the long awaited, oft-delayed seventh studio album by Jennifer Lopez, released on April 29.

Get on the floor…

Oh, hey–look! I just got a promotional mailer from J. Lo‘s official website in my inbox!

It looks like she’s going to be appearing at The Grove this Friday (April 29) to celebrate her upcoming album release with fans for Extra TV. And–what’s this? The Glitterati edition of LOVE? comes autographed?! That sounds cool, exciting and FRESH!

I really want to purchase this product! Let’s click on this massive photograph of Jennifer Lopez so that I can send my dollars to Island Def Jam in exchange for music by Jennifer Lopez!

Here now is an EXCLUUSIVE first look at Britney and Rihanna‘s first ever performance of “S&M” at the 2050 MTV Video Music Awards.

RiRi’s looking hot, hot, hot as usual! And can you even believe how hard Godney’s dancing here?! THE LEGEND IS BACK.

Sticks and stones may break my bones–no, but seriously, they’re brittle.

tumblr lju9z7h83f1qitl1po1 500 Rihanna Takes Number One Spot on Billboard Hot 100 with S&M and Breaks Records, Remains Better Than Your Faves

Rihanna just slayed your faves.

After snatching the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with her latest single “S&M,” Princess RiRi just smashed a butt-load (note: industry term) of records.

From Billboard:

+ Rihanna bests the five-year, four-month span between current Island Def Jam labelmate Mariah Carey’s first (“Vision of Love,” Aug. 4, 1990) and 10th (“One Sweet Day,” Dec. 2, 1995) toppers to complete the quickest sprint to 10 Hot 100 No. 1s among solo artists. (Carey collected the first 15 of her 18 career No. 1s while signed to Columbia Records).

+ Among all acts, Rihanna trails only the Beatles (one year, eight months and one week) and the Supremes (two years, eight months and three weeks) for the fastest accumulation of 10 Hot 100 No. 1s.

+ Rihanna is additionally the youngest artist to notch 10 No. 1s in the Hot 100′s archives. At 23 years, two months and one week, Rihanna (born Feb. 20, 1988) eclipses the mark established by Carey, who was 25 years, eight months and one week old when she tallied her 10th Hot 100 leader.

+ Rihanna is just the ninth artist to total at least 10 Hot 100 No. 1s and the fifth solo female, following Mariah Carey (18), Madonna (12), Whitney Houston (11) and Janet Jackson (10).

+ All versions of the song, which claims the Hot 100′s Digital Gainer award and becomes Rihanna’s record-extending 10th No. 1 on Digital Songs, sold a combined 293,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, a 108% increase over last week. The Spears-assisted version of the track accounted for 66% of the song’s overall weekly digital sum.

Plus, because of the Britney-assisted “Rih-Mix” released last week, Britney is now counted as a “featured artist”–meaning “S&M” also counts as Britney’s 5th #1 single since “Hold It Against Me”!

Now listed as featured artist on “S&M,” Spears earns her fifth Hot 100 No. 1 and second this year, following her own “Hold It Against Me” in January. She had previously reigned with her debut single “…Baby One More Time” in 1999 and returned to the summit with “Womanizer” (2008) and “3″ (2009).

In related news: National news sources are now confirming that the letting up potential for Rihanna’s reign has dropped from “not very likely” to “just won’t.”
