My boy Simon Curtis loves giving back to his loyal Robot Army.
Last evening, the ever-so-sneaky Monsieur Curtis re-launched his official website, along with the long awaited remix of “Flesh” by Vincent Did It (That’s Vincent Frank, formerly of Frankmusik fame for those following along.)
As you can tell within the first half second or so, it was well worth the wait: Bouncing along an utterly blazing electro pulse, Mr. Frank injects his signature skittering beats, chopped ‘n’ screwed vocals and delightfully blippy 8-bit beats into Simon’s thirstin’ sex fest. It’s a full-on dance floor stormer!
Head on over to the snazzily re-swizzled Simon-Curtis.com now to view the lyrics from RA, check out previously unreleased photos (all shot by Tyler Shields) and sink your teeth into the brand new remix of “Flesh”!
Oh, and about that remix cover… Want it in HQ? Yeah, yeah you do.
RA was released last June. (iTunes)
Happy Halloween, Muusers!
Did all my fellow New Englanders survive Snowmageddon? Kind of a holiday buzz-kill, right? Whatever. Even though it kind of feels like the holiday’s already passed, the Witching Hour is finally upon us! I hope wherever you are, your festivities will be filled with scary vampires and zany zombies, two-years-too-late Jersey Shore costumes and countless slutty mice.
To ring in the holiday, MuuMuse is happy to Excluusively offer (the rather ghoulishly titled) “Turn My Flesh Inside Out,” produced by Jeff “Jadion” Wells.
Set against a deliciously dark, throbbin’ beat, the mix weaves back and forth between my ol’ buddy ol’ pal Simon Curtis‘ filthy R∆ track “Flesh” and one of Brit Brit‘s best album cuts (for now, at least…Femme Fatale Single #5, please!) “Inside Out,” better known as the world’s greatest ode to hookin’ up while you’re breakin’ up.
The result? A whole lot of sexy. Seriously–this is one sweaty, storming smash of a mix! It’s hot, hot, HOT!
PS: If you liked that, check out Jadion’s SoundCloud page to hear the equally yummy Ke$ha/Godney mash-up, “Blow Until The World Ends.” (God, I wish that was the original title of Brit’s single. Mmm papi!)
R∆ was released on June 7. (iTunes)
Femme Fatale was released on March 29. (iTunes)
Summer days driftin’ away…so oh, what better time for a Grease-inspired music video?
Watch above as electro-pop maven Frankmusik slicks back his hair and rolls up his sleeves along with up-and-coming popstress and fellow Cherrytree Records act Colette Carr (along with a cameo by robo-dork Simon Curtis!) for a fun ‘n’ flirty Grease homage in the video for his brand new single, “No I.D.”
I’m loving the adorable chemistry Mr. Frank and Ms. Carr are sharing together onscreen (the water fountain splashing!), and the bright bubble-gum pop styling is totally spot-on. Oh, and the choreography is super cute too!
And while the video as a whole is one big moment of kawaii, the best moment is when Colette goes good girl gone bad and comes strolling in like a fiery hot mamacita cholita with her hair tossed to the side and her ta-tas hanging out to watch Frankmusik rev up his motor for the big race. Serving pure Cher Lloyd realness!
“No I.D.” was released on September 6. (iTunes)

For those of us who have been following Simon Curtis from the very early days of his career, RA is a pretty big deal.
Open wide and say RA…it’s the album cover for Simon Curtis‘ second studio album, RA!
Hungry to hear it? Well, don’t worry–you don’t have to wait long: The 14-track album, which includes lead singles “Superhero” and “Flesh,” is hitting iTunes on Tuesday, June 7. Yes, TONIGHT at midnight. You ready? It’s here!
Get your laser guns up!
RA was released on June 7. (iTunes)
Coming off the very potent punch of his last single, “Superhero” — and, as careful readers will note, that song was described as like “being punched in the face… IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE” — everyone’s favorite boy robot, Simon Curtis, has released his new single, “Flesh.”
“Flesh” is dark and glitchy and probably the sexiest thing that he’s ever done, as an artist. (As a person, the sexiest thing Simon Curtis has ever done is exist, because, well, if you had seen him prowl around a dingy nightclub in Brooklyn at 4 a.m. like I did on one very memorable night in April, you’d quickly realize that no one will ever be quite as sexy as Simon.)
The song has shades of Britney’s “Inside Out,” and also evokes the grimy industrial fuck-the-pain-away melancholy of Darren Hayes’ The Tension and the Spark (“I Like the Way,” in particular), before exploding into a thunderous house track just shy of the three-minute mark, a shift which injects the song with a very different kind of energy.
As a sonic experience, it’s much more innovative than “Superhero,” which was fairly straightforward by comparison. “Flesh” takes risks, with the explicit sexuality of its lyrics, with the processed falsetto vocals, with the sheer shameless sleaziness of the production — and Simon’s willingness to take those risks (as assisted by longtime producer Jeff “Jadion” Wells, whose work here is as excellent as it’s ever been) makes the song one of the more exciting things I’ve heard this year. If it’s any indication of what to expect from his forthcoming album RA, then those of us who have been following his career for years will have much to celebrate.
Basically, the song is fucking amazing, and if you haven’t bought it on iTunes yet, please take the opportunity to do so now.
“Flesh” was released on May 31. (iTunes)
Joe Jonas has just unveiled a 30-second teaser clip in advance of his forthcoming solo single, “See No More.”
Watch the solo JoBro getting prepped for photo shoots, going to award shows, recording in the studio and making pretty, thoughtful faces while staring off into the distance–plus listen to a teensy, weensy snippet of “See No More” at the very end! OH JOE, Y U SO TEASE MY BODY?
Looking a bit Simon Curtis with that blood-splattered white shirt look though, eh? Just saying.
“See No More” will be released on June 13.
STOP YOUR WHOLE LIFE.
We’ve just heard the Simon Curtis single premiering next week, and it’s fucking incredible.
It’s kind of like a delicious dark chocolate cookie melting in your mouth, or being punched in the face…IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.
COMING SOON…
