Kate Havnevik Delivers “Mouth 2 Mouth” (Single Review)
Of all the Norwegian electronica chanteuses in the world, Kate Havnevik is probably my favorite. I first discovered Havnevik back in 2006 with her debut record Melankton, a dreamy collection of electronica-infused tunes produced by ...
The mystery is basically all but dead at this point, but I’ll still post this one last time.
Iamamiwhoami (Jonna Lee) has just e-mailed me again–this time with two things: An MP3 download and the cover art above. Included in the body of the e-mail, an un-mysterious phrase: “gift give away 24 hours.”
DL: Iamamiwhoami – b (Tara Busch Remix)
The song is a remix by Tara Busch (I’M ON TO YOU, LADY) of the singer’s final song in the video series, “b,” which is equally un-mysteriously available for download on iTunes here.
And that is that.

Now here’s something you don’t see every remix.
Here now is a remix of Bat For Lashes‘ magestic “Daniel,” done by a Miss Tara Busch.
Simply speaking, it’s unreal. An entirely different feel and sound to the entire track altogether. Moody, atmospheric…it’s the darker, haunted trip down the beaten roads of Two Suns. Definitely a must listen.
But the mix doesn’t stop at the sound. Tara Busch (who writes a blog of her own!) also filmed a nine-part (!) documentary behind-the-scenes of this mix. It’s especially intriguing for all you up-and-coming producers out there, and a little reminiscent of Imogen Heap‘s video blogs. Very cute.
