First off, let me tell you something right now: This post was originally drafted on January 29, 2010–nearly one year ago.
Jodie Aysha‘s “I’m A Pozer (Zer Zer Zer)” was originally uploaded to YouTube months and months ago, only to be cruelly and unjustly removed after only one or two days for unknown reasons (though I suspect it had to do with the fact that Aysha is no longer associated with All Around The World Records.)
In that time, I simply knew I had to snag an interview with this woman. And so I did. I now present to you: Jodie Aysha’s legendary “I’m A Pozer (Zer Zer Zer),” plus a brief Q&A. Enjoy!
Yesterday, Adele released the official video for “Rolling In The Deep” on iTunes, the first single from her upcoming sophomore album, 21. (WATCH)
Sand, sparks, and shattered porcelain all help to add texture to the soulful singer’s highly stylized clip, which features an array of artsy visuals and cinematography that perfectly suits the song’s brooding mood. We’re breakin’ dishes up in here (all night)!
Though I was admittedly underwhelmed when I first heard the stomping Paul Epworth-produced single a few weeks back, I can safely conclude that my opinion has changed entirely: “Rolling In The Deep” is clearly one of the better singles of 2010.
“Rolling In The Deep” was released on November 30 in the US. 21 will be released on February 22. (iTunes)
Just days after the premiere of label-mate Natalia Kills‘ fantastically grim debut video, Frankmusik has just unleashed his own dark video for his upcoming single, “The Fear Inside.” (WATCH)
Filmed in black and white, the grainy footage finds Frankmusik roaming the streets (and the desert), seemingly lost in his own little world.
With some artsy lighting and shadow play, a few Cherrytree Records video staples (the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones shot!) and a super hot babe in tow, Mr. Vincent Frank seems to be entirely in his own element right now.
So brood on, moody pants! It’s totally working for you.
Squeeze hard, hold that pose–it’s FINALLY here!
The hotly anticipated video for Natalia Kills‘ “Mirrors,” has arrived. (WATCH)
Relying more on style than the flat-out storytelling of her series Love, Kills XX, Miss Natalia goes in for the kill(s) with a variety of grainy, gritty images and globs and globs of fabulous noir.
Bondage? Check. blindfolds? Check. Murderous weapons and criminal intent? Check, check, check!
Sprinkle in a bit of Saw, a droplet of The Twilight Zone, a smidgen of The Ring, and just the teeniest touch of Hamlet, and there you have it: The video for “Mirrors.”
Oh yes, and just as promised, some broken mirrors to boot.
It’s been a long time coming, but I absolutely adore the video. Go Kills, go!
“Mirrors” was released on August 10. (iTunes)
The Hype Williams-directed video for Ke$ha‘s “We R Who We R” is finally out.
Here are the things you need to know about it:
+ She’s got that glitter on her eyes.
+ Her stockings appear to be ripped all up the sides.
+ She is looking sick and/or sexified.
Let’s go. (WATCH)
“We R Who We R” was released on October 22. (iTunes)
And now for something completely depressing.
It’s the video premiere of Sia‘s “I’m In Here,” the gorgeous, haunting ballad off of her sensational summer release, We Are Born. (WATCH)
Taking a break from the puppets, fuzzy felts and colours for a moment, Sia now finds herself soaring miles away on a bleak, cloudy airplane ride to nowhere.
The video is set to the acoustic version of the song (which is worthy of being deemed the sequel to Sia’s grand opus, “Breathe Me”), featuring vocals by The Bird And The Bee‘s Inara George.
Will this make you want to die? Yes, basically. But that’s kind of the point.
We Are Born was released on June 4. (iTunes)

Miss KERI Baby–look what you gone did!
Keri Hilson is breaking out the big guns (literally) for “The Way You Love Me,” the third single off of her upcoming sophomore studio release, No Boys Allowed. (WATCH)
Backed up by a bad ass crew of bitches including JoJo, Dirty Money‘s Dawn and Faith Evans, Miss Keri Baby thugs her way through a most scandalous, swagga-riffic covert operation.
A little bit CiCi, some parts Gaga/Beysus “Telephone,” the video for “The Way You Love Me” finds Keri going harder and grittier than ever before, slithering up against a vault’s open door and growling some truly filthy come-ons in the process: “I got that kind of pussy that keep you off the streets,” she brags.
Is it a very sexy upgrade to her No Boys Allowed image as of late? Well, yes. But I had no doubt that Miss Keri Baby was really a dirty bird underneath just waiting to spread her wings and grind.
“This ain’t no pretty girl rock,” Hilson snarks during the video’s extended introduction. You got that right.
No Boys Allowed will be released on December 14. (iTunes)
MMPH.
It’s here, it’s here! It’s Joe McElderry‘s new video for “Someone Wake Me Up.” (WATCH)
Seems Cheryl Cole and my boyfriend are still in cahoots post-X Factor, as they’ve both gone ahead and released their drippy new videos on the same day! I’VE SPRUNG A LEAK.
Here are some other important things to know:
+ “Someone Wake Me Up” is a tie-in single with the release of Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader. As a result, the camera rudely wastes precious seconds on some stupid kids and a lion running around some magical land when it could much more effectively be trained on Joey baby’s body (crotch-level preferable).
+ As one can plainly see, McEldreamy enjoys standing around dripping wet, much like how he shall greet me (naked) at the door of our palatial estate in Kensington after a long, soothing bubble bath to unwind after a sold-out concert in London. Which he will dedicate to me.
+ I have to go change my pants now.
“Someone Wake Me Up” will be released on December 5. (iTunes UK)
