This has gone too far. Utada’s released a CM (commercial clip) for her upcoming single, HEART STATION, and you’ll never guess who makes an appearance.

This has got to END, HIKARU. Unless–don’t tell me. I’m not ready to hear it, but…well. Hikaru Utada…are you a furry?

When she’s not too busy recording Spanish language duets with herself or devouring the souls of babies, Beyonce Knowles likes to entertain herself by starring in biographical movies about famous black singers that have made the mistake of rising to prominence. Luckily, Beyonce is quick to make sure that nobody forgets about the greatest singing legends of our time…by portraying them in films.

Cadillac Records is an upcoming film that focuses on Leonard Chess, the founder of Chess Records, which became the home for budding stars such as Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, and…Etta James, one of my most truly cherished vocalists.

Luckily, Beyonce will be filling her shoes. Considering the fact that Beyonce’s voice, image, and personality all have literally nothing in common with that of Etta’s, it’s rather fantastic to hear that she’s signing on to represent Etta. Who, by the way, is still very much alive.

Don’t get me wrong, now. While I still love me some Knowles from time to time (mostly in the form of a “band” once known as Destiny’s Child,) but if I had to choose someone to represent Etta, she wouldn’t even come close.

FINALLY. After foaming at the mouth from the teaser clip on PopJustice, I’ve finally come across the Kleerup remix of the Cardigan’s “Erase/Rewind” has finally been released in full. With a new sheen of sleek disco gloss, the repackaged song’s twinkle of glam fits the song well. A hot track indeed…I highly recommend this one.

Amy Winehouse has officially broken the irony meter and sealed the coffin for her hit single “Rehab” by once again voluntarily entering rehab. No word on how long she’ll be there, but I assume the decision was prompted by the recent video surfacing featuring the singer doing some serious drug abuse.

Get well soon, Amy.

The single has been decided for the ladies of Diggity Dang Dinny Do Danity Kane, and the result is (shockingly) “Damaged,” the ode to being broken goods and looking for a rebound. Hopefully they’ll toss that other song entirely.

Additionally, the group revealed the new name for the second album: Welcome To The Dollhouse.

Thankfully, there aren’t any other hip-hop influenced, sex-pot sextets around in the industry sharing the name “doll.” Right? Additionally, props to the band for the genius shout out to the essential independent movie, Welcome to the Dollhouse from 1995 with Heather Matarazzo. I can only assume they’re seeking to replicate the movie poster on their album cover. Break out those elastic hair ties, ladies.
