Madonna is currently recording songs to include on her upcoming Greatest Hits compilation, which will serve as the final release on her longtime record label, Warner Records.
From People Magazine:
‘We’re hoping to have a greatest hits package come out in September,” the singer’s longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, tells PEOPLE. “We’re all very excited about it.”
Still, the new album won’t only feature songs her fans know and love. “Madonna does have plans to go into the studio to record a few new songs for this album,” says Rosenberg.
Additionally, Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, has asked for fans to “tweet” their favorite tracks to him for consideration on the Greatest Hits.
Honestly, I haven’t the faintest idea of what sort of tracks Lady M will record for this. Perhaps she’ll cater to the sound most “tweeted” by fans? Ray of Light demos perhaps?!
Bah, who am I kidding? It’s probably two or three scrapped Hard Candy numbers featuring a rapper or two.
