Swedish House Mafia and Knife Party Prepare to Slay the Dance Floor in 2012 With “Antidote”

GRAB YOUR GLOW STICKS.

The Swedish House super-duper hit-making troupe known as Swedish House Mafia (AKA Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso) have just teamed up with Knife Party–the side unit from founding members of the Aussie dance troupe Pendulum–for a brand new almighty collaboration called “Antidote.”

The track was played for the first time on DJ Annie Mac‘s show for BBC’s Radio 1 earlier this month, which you can now stream above.

Complete with surging ’90’s-friendly Mortal Kombat-like techno, Auto-tune happy vocals (sort of like if the Black Eyed Peas were actually doing it right) and some deliciously dark dubstep edges, “Antidote” is a relentlessly pounding, sweat-drenched explosion of all things dance. God, if only this song was around for my Bar Mitzvah…

The song won’t be officially released until January of next year (nor has it leaked, apart from the radio rip), but from the sound of things, is there any doubt this is going to be one mayjah dance floor slayer in 2012? Didn’t think so.

“Antidote” will be released on January 15. (iTunes)
